Jin sun-mi's soul is gone, then there is a new samjang which we don't know yet, but the new samjang joined the old samjang with him, then you know the red eye that son oh gong gave to samjang ? Went to the new samjang but he can't remember what happened because he was new, he's not the old one but the old one posseses her , but she still doesn't remember what happens to them..i dont know now
Yes the ending was sad but honestly the drama in its whole was mind blowing. You’d fall in love with each character in the story, main or not, their personalities were so developed and you’ll feel like they are a family. I always tell my friend that yes you will sob at the middle of the nightwhile watching the ending but it’s worth it. I enjoyed it so much, it’s literally my favorite kdrama ❤️.
I like Son O Gong, Richie, PK, Devil King, they acts is really good. Im shedding tears when PK say goodbye to Richie, when Son O Gong gives his eyes to Samjang😭😭😭 love all their characters, best movie, i wish they have S2 anytime soon. Besides that, this movie has a lots lesson, not just drama about love. About friendship thats like family.
There were so many parts that left me crying like crazy. I just about lost it and cried for at least ten minutes in ep 18 when she said " that when the Geumganggo was gone that they'd not be able to see each other anymore" and then said "what do I do" "I just like you ... I like you so much" and was crying her eyes out. I just completely lost it!! Makes me cry just sitting here writing it. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
The ending did lack closure but it wasn't sad. Because remember, in ep 16, the baby that the egret gets looks like son oh gong and the egret also says 'Sorry, I got you out to the world a little early'. I believe this to mean that he saves her in the underworld with the monkey eye and they have kids and live happily ever after.
Hearing the song w/ suran's beautiful voice, and looking at the comments make me sad 🙁🙁. Why people keep comparing the drama w/ Goblin and calling it a cheap ver. of Goblin? IT IS A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT DRAMA, GENRE, THEME, AND FEEL. Calling it a chep ver. of Goblin is so harsh. Actually the drama is so good with a nice plot and storyline. Worth watching, if you watch it without prejudice, you'll like it.

Hwayugi is one of the best Dramas. The Ost's, actors, set-up everything are so good. This drama is really worth watching. Waiting for Season 2(if that's possible)
Saw the comment below saying a lot people has been comparing this drama to Goblin. I feel that because Goblin has already set a very high standard for fantasy drama, that's why people has been comparing. But this is different. This drama has a lot of meaning behind it. It uses a fantasy plot to reflect what the world is currently facing. For instance, the possibility of war in the Korean Peninsula. That's why in order to not let it happen, the main characters have to make the world into a better place by eradicating demons etc. And all those demons are created because of human greediness and endless desires. This is really a meaningful drama with some horror and comedic elements in it. Do watch it. It is highly recommendable :)
ppl who think hwayugi and goblin are the same are probably the people who thinks all asians are the same the two dramas are based on two completely different asian myths o.O
I really hope that Hwayugi will be popular in korea bcuse the drama deserves that popularity so much! This is hands down my favourite drama of 2018 and it's only January

I'm so hooked with this kdrama series. It gives me a roller coaster ride of emotions! They both give justice to their roles and both look gorgeous and good together . Needless to say, Korea always makes one of the best movies and tv series's! Just my opinion
Acabo de terminar de verla y es una historia de amor marabillosa por lejos el mejor que kdrama de amor su amor fue más allá de la muerte. Llore a mares pero es el kdrama más marabilloso ojala el amor fuera así este mundo seria grandioso. Me too.. No hate but w/o sungjae i would never watch goblin... As of the moment goblin is on my unfinished watching list because I got bored... At first It was catchy because of goblin, grim reaper and deok hwa trio but later on they mostly focused on the main couple and completely forgot the character development of other characters which made me bitter because gahd they neglecting my baby sungjae... Well this is just my opinion so no hate.

Acabo de terminar de verla y es una historia de amor marabillosa por lejos el mejor que kdrama de amor su amor fue más allá de la muerte. Llore a mares pero es el kdrama más marabilloso ojala el amor fuera así este mundo seria grandioso.
Lo recomiendo es lo más bello que eh visto ambos excelentes actores y un elenco extrahordinario y el se ve que besa marabilloso me encanto este actor.entonces seguire creyendo en el amor y viendo kdramas.

Me too.. No hate but w/o sungjae i would never watch goblin... As of the moment goblin is on my unfinished watching list because I got bored... At first It was catchy because of goblin, grim reaper and deok hwa trio but later on they mostly focused on the main couple and completely forgot the character development of other characters which made me bitter because gahd they neglecting my baby sungjae... Well this is just my opinion so no hate.
