    Love listening and watching old footage it's so nostalgic I was born in 73' so Terry Wogans voice really takes me back to my wonderful childhood, takes me to a place where I can spend a little more time with my parents who are sadly not here anymore and I love that ❤️💙 🕊️

    Jeff is a really quirky fun guy who first came to my attention in 1986's movie The Fly and then I found out that he was in Invasion of the Body Snatchers 1978, another sci-fi classic.

      In the early 90s, Jeff was also one the names brought up for the role of the Doctor in ‘Doctor Who’ when Spielberg expressed interest in making a film version of sci-fi show. Amblin productions moved on, with Fox eventually taking the reigns with the release of the 8th Doctor TV Movie.

      Jeff goldblum is my favorite actor. He was ' Tenspeed and brown shoe ' 1980

    The first movie I ever worked on (as a camera intern) had Jeff Goldblum in it (along with Samuel Jackson, Roseanna Arquette, Rory Cochrane and Famke Janssen in her film debut). Very cool, nice guy. Overall, a great experience.

    And less than 2 years later he was filming Jurassic Park, where he seemed much older. A great actor, who's kept his personality consistent across the decades

    It's funny how when Wogan calls him a tall, big guy, the perspective of the camera they use suddenly makes him look smaller!

  • @alexfletcher5192
    @alexfletcher5192 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

    He's that tall because his body has to contain all that 'something' that he has. He's one of those people you look at and think 'You're either going to be the strangest guy in your street or a star'. Fortunately, for all of us, it's the latter.

    • @hopebgood
      @hopebgood 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      He has a "twinkle" that's made him the star he is.

    This guy has never changed his personality even before Jurassic Park he’s still a quirky cool dude. And to think at this point with wogan “the fly” was his most famous performance. How tragic 🤣

    Wogan wasn’t the best interviewer. He always tried to make the interview about him not the guest!

    • @RolandoRatas
      @RolandoRatas 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +10

      He was the best mainstream entertainment interviewer ever in the UK, he was self deprecating and was not scared to be cheeky with the guests and the audience. He let the guest talk also (see video above).

      @@kevfit4333 Parky I found very dry and boring as a kid though. He was more for adults. I watched his interview with Helen Mirren and I didn't like the way he handled it.

      To be fair I didn't like the way Wogan handled the David Icke interview.

    • @rnw2739
      @rnw2739 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Wogan was mostly oblivious to his guests' careers and life in general. For example, when Catherine Tate first did her Lauren character, Wogan couldn't believe and didn't believe that any young girls exist like her!
      He also said to Linda Robson and Pauline Quirke that no other women speak like them!
      Idiot.

    This interview should be the textbook definition of the difference between the British and the American.

    • @JackRascal
      @JackRascal 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Someone will point out Wogan wasn't British at this point. But yeah, it's slightly awkward and Terry doesn't seem particularly pleased, even though he pretends to be.

    • @rnw2739
      @rnw2739 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @JackRascal Well, when you flee your own 'wonderful' country as many Irish do, then you can't be annoyed when people assume the country you flee too and reside in, is your native country.

    • @krashd
      @krashd 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@rnw2739 To be fair you would also move to another country if the pay was bigger, Wogan had a family to think about and Irish TV networks with around five million potential viewers could never pay as much as the UK with around 65 million. If the US had asked Terry to do a show over there he would have moved in an instant because they have around 330 million. You go where the money is, networks with bigger audiences pay more, that's it.
      This is the same argument used when a footballer leaves his favourite team for a bigger team, he has to put his financial security over his love for his team, I'm a diehard Dundee FC fan and if I was a footballer it'd be my dream to play for them but if the offer came to earn 200 grand a week at Manchester City I would be stupid not to do it because I could never earn anything remotely close to that at Dundee.
