This waterfall is located near the Galboda railway station on the Colombo Badulla railway line.
As Galboda Falls is located between Watawala and Nawalapitiya, rainfall and cold climate are always seen in this area. It is about 90 m high and 2-3 m wide and in Rainey season it increases 3 to 6 meters. The easiest way to visit the waterfall is to come from the railway station. It is possible to come from Colombo by 5.50 morning train to Badulla, see the falls and return to Colombo on the same day.
