On The Table: Tobias' 500 Point Winter War Finnish!

- I managed to pin down Warlord Games' resident fidgeter Tobias and ask him about his small but potent 500 point Finnish Bolt Action Army. Tobias used a variety of kits including the Soviet and Winter Soviet plastic infantry boxsets as well as some components from the Winter German plastic kit to complement his Finnish.
For the rules and army list for Finnish Bolt Action forces check out the Armies of Italy and the Axis army book which also comes with a free Simo Häyhä miniature!

Really nice looking army. Wish I knew there were 1/56 scale Finnish ski troopers years back when I built my Finnish winter war themed 40k guardsmen army (alas, I've ended my monetary support for that corp).
I've been considering to build Finnish army from Blitz Germans with Soviet weapons, just like in Warlord Games community articles blog I found one day.
I got a finnish army too. I also have German, and Russian tanks for my army. I even painted up the Russian tank riders to be finnish elite in disguise. I also have a Russian machine gun team and anti tank rifle team. I went for the amalgamation of supplies for my force. I love the story fluff I have been reading about the finnish.
Lorenzo helped me start my finnish army with a custom bundle and when I got the ultimate longest day bundle. He is a great customer service person!
I'm struggling to find any painting guides or tips regarding my Finns, especially regarding the boots. Is there any way to ask Tobias what he used?
