I love how Kenny Omega references video games so much. "One Winged Angel" is literally a reference to Sephiroth from Final Fantasy 7 (it's Sephiroth's final boss theme, and arguably the theme that Sephiroth is most recognized for). And there's the time he came out to the Megalovania theme from Undertale while dressed as Sans from said game. :)
Just a suggestion, what if you do the last question like Final Jeopardy, where you guys wager however many points you have before the final round. And also have the final question be one of the more difficult ones.
I think the Paydirt is a jumping flatliner. It's a pretty dope finisher I wish he could get back to being the gold standard in WWE currently, he's slept on and enhancement talent on Raw for the most part.
Fun fact: The One Winged Angel has been kicked out of 3 times. Two of which was Kenny himself, and the other, and the most famous kickout, was Kota Ibushi
I have a funny story about the Spinning Backfist. Whenever my friend would play as Kharma he'd put me in a grapple and try to do that to me. For whatever reason it wasn't properly programmed so everytime he'd do it it wouldn't connect. It eventually became a running joke because he would start getting frustrated. I would laugh everytime because it wasn't just one game it was several and this was prior to 2k.
You got me with Maserati Clutch...I struggled with nothing else, but that is such an early days, pre-comical era Santino move that I haven't thought about in ages. If I was sitting on that couch I would have gotten it wrong. The Cobra was the finisher synonymous with Santino for sure. Although my brain went to Faarooq for the Dominator first...Lashley would have been a second "safe" answer I would have had to write down.
technically Kota Ibushi is the only one to have ever kicked out of the one winged Angel but since it happened so long ago I hope it stays that way. Plus the history between him & Kenny makes it even better
i think a lot of these arent their finishing moves... Goldust's finishers were Shattered Dreams and the Curtain Call. And i think he used the Final Cut at one point, but im not sure... And Kozlov's finish was either the Iron Curtain or the Soviet Strike. They are two different moves
Yeah, I somehow remembered Kozlov's finisher being called the iron curtain, but seeing "iron curtain soviet strike" made me choose Nikolai Volkoff instead and... Nope. I was like " FUuuuuck I had it" 😂
Big props to Shawn for this video because it was challenging and made me think. With Paydirt I was 100% it was MVP, but I was at least within the same stable.
@@RotellaJohn1 I think Playmaker was another move, the one were he puts his leg over his opponent's leg and then grabs his arm and make the opponent spin while he falls on his knees
Should do a wager of points for the final question. Say one person only has 10 points, they can wager up to 10 points so they could either end up with 0 points or 20 points. Keeps it fair as well!
Loving the content! Why can't the last round be like final jeopardy? You wager the amount of points, if you're right you get the points, if you're wrong you lose them. No more streak but hopefully this doesn't become 50/50 booking 😆
Video idea: Guess the Wrestler by there Original Wrestling name. I.e - The Prototype (John Cena) or Colibrí (Rey Mysterio). This would be fun to watch.
So John and Dante are the wrestling gurus at Lumberlend. Anyone else there follow it? Imagine Big Nick going hamburgler on some entrance songs. That is gold.
Damn. Since the “Golden Age” one I had Shelton in mind & “Paydirt” I knew it had to be Shelton. and for that “Curtain Soviet” I was thinking someone from the late 80’s but Vladimir did cross my mind. Wild.
I know I'm a little late to this video. But I really enjoyed it. As far as a suggestion for these competitions go, maybe you could do three rounds with five questions each? Each round the point totals go up from 1 in the first, 2 in the second, and 3 for the third? Just an idea. Either way I'm subbing. Looking forward to more!
That goldust one was used for like a month, but is somehow the one that shows up when you Google him instead of curtain call, shattered dreams or final reckoning.
Actually the Dominator was first introduced by Farooq aka Ron Simmons but Lashley is also correct to be fair. I enjoy your vids guys, keeps my nerd-self fresh 👌🏻
honestly with how convoluted "Iron Curtain Soviet Strike" is I expected one of the Koloffs. Didn't expect Kozlov, I didn't even know his finisher had a name
I just started watching these videos and I love them!!! Is there anyway you can include some selected fans and give some prizes away? Just a thought. Keep up the good work!!!!
For the last question you guys should do like a final jeopardy thing where you wager a certain amount of points you've accumulated from the earlier questions.
The Maserati Clutch was one if the best house show jokes in history... It was described as a running top rope submission move... Santino would go for it and get cut off every time... He never actually used it in a match.
Lay up idea: Guess that belt/title. Impact Knockouts, NJPW IC, ROH Tag all promotions from all times. Photoshop off the promotions name or reveal a small section of the belt over time.
For the Iron Curtain Soviet Strike, I immendiately thought Iron Sheik and was like, "No way." Then I was like, "Sgt. Slaughter? Nooo... He has nothing to do with the Soviet Union". I'm happy we were all on the same wavelength.
Fun fact MVP and even R-Truth would pick up the Paydirt as their finishers for a short while. MVP called it the Play of the Day and R-Truth called it by the "Lie Detector" before it became the spinning forearm attack
Iron Curtain & Soviet Strike are 2 separate moves, Iron Curtain was his main one (leg trap chokeslam) & Soviet Strike was a scoop lift dropped into an inverted DDT
I think it's funny the guys mixed up the Street Profits with Private Party, since they're basically alternate company equivalents of each other. This one was a weird combination of really easy ones with really hard ones.
The Mandible Claw was made famous by Mankind and The Fiend and has been used as his finisher after he attacked Mick Foley . The hold was invented by Dr Sam Sheppard who briefly wrestled in the late 1960's .
You should do a version of this in reverse where you're given the wrestler and have to guess what their finish was. And you get bonus points if you describe what the move was an not just give the name. So if the prompt is Shawn Michaels, you get one point for putting down Sweet Chin Music and another for putting down Superkick with it.
One little key note, while Lashley does use the Dominator as his finisher, the one to make it famous was Ron Simmons/Farooq.
I was going to say the same thing.
The Ascension's Konnor used it for a while too
Yeah, theres a lot of 'who originally did it' vs 'who made it famous' in something like this.
Was gonna say the same +1
Damn
I love how the internet wrestling community comes together and starts supporting any channel showing love to something we all enjoy
We're hyped!
@@DugoutMugsOfficial you don’t get hyped you stay hyped.

Don’t forget him using the Hadouken as an actual move early in his career. 🤣
If only he loved wrestling as much as he loves video games maybe he'd actually learn how to wrestle.
since Sephiroth was his inspiration for his last run in NJPW, people argue that his title run in AEW was based on kefka from FF6
When Dominator came up, I was literally screaming at the screen "FAROOQ! RON SIMMONS!"
My first reaction was DAMN
Just a suggestion, what if you do the last question like Final Jeopardy, where you guys wager however many points you have before the final round. And also have the final question be one of the more difficult ones.
Not a bad idea!
I agree with this idea!! ^^ Was about to suggest it too
And now that's how they do it for now on.
I think the Paydirt is a jumping flatliner. It's a pretty dope finisher I wish he could get back to being the gold standard in WWE currently, he's slept on and enhancement talent on Raw for the most part.
Shelton is SO under utilized right now
for the Golden age finisher I said Shelton Benjamin cause I thought it was gold standard but I got paydirt right
Farrooq also did the dominator as well!
Fun fact:
The One Winged Angel has been kicked out of 3 times. Two of which was Kenny himself, and the other, and the most famous kickout, was Kota Ibushi
Okads too?
@@himothy9871 Okada hasn’t kicked out of it either (I think he used a rope break, but I can’t remember well) ; only Ibushi did.
Didn't hangman page kickout also
SOS is more of a signature move from Kofi Kingston. He rarely wins with it. Trouble in Paradise is his finisher (spin kick)
It would actually be a better finisher for him tho. I wish he implemented that when he was WWE champion. His matches may have been received better.
Yeah that's what I though. SoS and boom drop, those were the Jamaican days 😂
I think both is a finisher
On smackdown he been doing boom drop to S.O.S. they kick yea but I still think of it as a secondary finisher
"Guess if they were a tag team"
Where you get two wrestlers and guess whether they tag teamed at any point.
Chris Jericho’s AEW finisher is called “ The Judas Effect “
That's one of them, correct.
Spinning Backfist could've also been Awesome Kong, Aja Kong, Bull Nakano.
I mean technically Kingstons move is called Backfist to the Future
I have a funny story about the Spinning Backfist. Whenever my friend would play as Kharma he'd put me in a grapple and try to do that to me. Kenny also kicked out a winged angel from osprey
Pulled Koslov right out my butt, most soviet name I could think of
Yes Dude Love did use the mandible claw, but he called it "The Love Handle" but he usually used Sweet Shin Music.
Absolutely amazing content! Love this channel and happy to see more diehard wrestling fans🤞🏾
Thanks for your support!!
Actually it was Ron Simmons aka in WWF/E as Farooq who used the Dominator as his finisher. That's the more prevalent answer for this quiz.
i think a lot of these arent their finishing moves... Goldust's finishers were Shattered Dreams and the Curtain Call. And i think he used the Final Cut at one point, but im not sure...

It was also used by MVP as the Play of the Day. So you're not wrong.

9:47 Actually the Dominator was Farooq's finisher back in the 90s.
It was also Bobby Lashleys
Saying "actually" makes it sound like you're saying Bobby Lashley is a wrong answer
Pretty sure he used that going back to early 90s in WCW under his real name Ron Simmons.
Many have used it

@The Lunatic Fringe Valdamir*
I DID THE EXACT SAME THING WITH BOTH OF THEM TOO. I got 13/15 and missed Eddie and santino
Well, "gold" is in the name, and we'd already seen Goldberg, so that kind of a gimme.
Considering I have watched AEW about 3 times total, I actually got all of the AEW finishers somehow
Love these. One thing though while you’re right that Bobby Lasley used the Dominator so did Farooq (Ron Simmons) so there was 2 right answers.

10:20, Kota Ibushi has kicked out of the One Winged Angel. But then that was years ago and in DDT.
Guess the wrestlers home town?
bray wyatt/fiend used mandible claw too
I think you should wager points on the last question. If you have 10 points you can wager no more than 10 points.
"Street Profits?"
"No. Private Party."
Ahh yes, the True Value version of the Street Profits.

Iron Curtain & Soviet Strike are 2 separate moves, Iron Curtain was his main one (leg trap chokeslam) & Soviet Strike was a scoop lift dropped into an inverted DDT
The last question should be a secret wager of points. So you could bet 0- how many you have.
