Bro, I turn 25 in December, and Randomly came across Sonny in 6th grade when surfing TH-cam. Blessed to have seen the man live 3 times. The first show being one my dad took me to when I was 15. Life certainly has thrown us some curve balls as well (a divorce, opiate/ benzo addiction) but life will always turn around if you choose to make it happen. Many people are confused about the clip so here's my take on it:
The old man is a drug addict, be it hard drugs or medication abuse.
Those drugs warp his perception of reality.
The scene of him fighting off the thugs could be interpreted as him fighting off his addiction or fighting off withdrawal.
The scene of him kneeling in the snow, watching it with a smile on his face can be interpreted as him being free from the effects and aftereffects of drugs and finally coming to terms and finding comfort in reality.

They weren’t really thugs though they were security guards, I think he had a meltdown while he was listening to kids barking what they wanted for Christmas and after he exploded at them the security guards were chasing him trying to shut him down lol.
