I'd say that in today's world, a college degree is just one piece of the puzzle. And even if you don't have that one piece, it's not the end of the world. There are lots of people out there who became successful and happy despite not having a college degree.
In today's world, it's also valuable to have skills and talents that don't necessarily correlate to your degree. You could have a degree in accounting, but you should also learn things like programming, graphic design, playing instruments etc. Because employers nowadays look for far more than just a degree, with some even completely ignoring your degree. Meaning all the 4 years and tens of thousands of dollars you spent on university could soon be meaningless. Although some careers like doctors, engineers, lawyers etc will still require degrees.
Exactly! 🔥
College will increase your earnings ❌
Good college and education and skill increase your earnings ✅
You nailed it.
Video summary output is everything.
In Switzerland we have some of the best university of the world and it's FREE🤯
Based In Ireland too Accualy managed country club LETS GOO

So good spawning there, in Argentina a lot of young people dream getting there even as just a restaurant bathroom cleaner.
Spoken like someone who never pay taxes
don't taxes there take 50% of ur monthly paycheck
I kind of wish I saw this video earlier. Now that I took a break part way through my Masters, I can see that I was just trying to push the decision back. But I'm kind of committed, so I'm in the middle of trying to continue and get that degree. This time, I plan on taking advantage of any interning I am able to do when I return. Thank you so much for making videos like this. While this is what I chose to do, I feel like if I am able to choose again, I might have just tried to make the most of my time as a student to get the internship and experience and maybe work a little before going back to school. Best of luck to everyone!
Great video!
Nice vid thnks guys🥰✌🏼
Glad you enjoyed it. What lesson resonated with you the most?
omg this video is the best one ever! it taught me a lot! I'm from tokyo, japan. i got accepted to university but dropped out cuz of illness. since then, I've been using cousera, crashcourse, khan academy, edx, etc to learn because I love learning. i started learning statistics to read psychology papers which I started recently. it's been so interesting. I'm not seeking a job, but this video made me realize I have to learn how to acquire skills and send emails, and get jobs I want to do. thank u so much. it gave me a hope for the future.
You got this, rookie! You are moving towards the right direction! Keep growing as a person by gaining skills, do networking by emailing and meeting people and above all else, keep moving forward and don't look up.
Do your best!
It's the communications you get, Social network is everything in the modern world.
Let’s go early. Also thanks for more great advice ❤
Let's go! Happy to have you. 🥳
Interesting video. What's that fancy piano in the background, though?
Me watching this after my first day in college:
Unless your in med school or some other high paying field might as well start working and go to college part time.
@@southcoastinventors6583did you go to University?? Or not??
Lamao we just got summer holidays 🤣
Hey rookie! First of all, congratulations on getting in! Secondly, college is useful! The experiences and lessons you learn there are useful for emotional, social and mental development so as long as you invest time in your own growth by learning different skills and always develop your critical thinking, you can absolutely have a good college experience.
Please make a video on how to deal with a bad memory i am epileptic i struggle with it all the time its soo annoying . It would be a great help if you make a video about it ❤❤❤❤
Thoughts while watching:
- 'true' - to you at least 😉
- drop out of college/uni is still going to so maybe they learned what they needed/wanted by that point
- learning environment is important - duh... some college/uni good others not...
- acquire v develop skills... I think this changes what we think higher education is for
- smart student depends performance scores
- we never 'figure it out'
Sounds about right! Plus, performance scores doesn't make a student smart, it's their outputs and systems, in my opinion.
Wow that opened up so much
Glad to know you think that! Which idea made sense for you the most?
@@CajunKoiAcademy that fact that college or university can affect u this much and yet irl it's not enough it's just makes me wonder so I got a lot to think about
Great tips !
I've heard that in order to earn more promotions/money the focus should be to create more Value than others at workplace so could you elaborate on this subject how can it be done effectively without overworking or burnout necessarily as there has to be some smart way to get the desired outcome..
2) Why is it necessary always to depend upon years of experience to achieve financial growth ?
3) Any book recommendations on this topic according to your wisdom..
I came into college with no clear purpose except getting a degree and networking. But now finishing college, I haven't changed academically but my social engagement has(even if it's outside my science major).
That's as useful as growing academically, in my opinion!
I’m an engineer in Italy and I do all day the same things I studied at 3-4 courses but more in depth and with higher difficulty
Thats awesome! How are you doing? How's your progress?
@@CajunKoiAcademyI’m doing good, the progress isn’t much, as soon as i started there was a pretty steep learning curve to understand the higher level and detail of what I already did at uni (like heat exchanger design, I’m a chemical engineer), after 3-5 months I understood everything I needed to and now I go on autopilot, could be boring but it’s part of the job, at the end of the year I will be reassigned to another project
Can you create an app for studying that’s friendly for a younger audience a little simpler and that’s free? (Habit tracker, To Do lists, Pomodoro timer, schedule your day section) Or do you have an app suggestion that would work for that? Thank you for your amazing content and I hope you have a wonderful day!
Well, I personally like Forest, HabitRPG and our website has focus rooms where you can work with other people, it has pomodoro timers.
You can check out our discord server as well, the bots there work as to-do trackers, pomodoro timers as well as rooms where you can work with people.
Hey I commented on ur video for motivation as am struggling to study my results came yesterday I f in my math test am so guilty I wasted my whole year even though I I progressed in other interests like songwriting I wrote 100+songs but this is important 15 days left for my entrance exam for engineering i didn't studied anything i promise to my self i work really hard really hard from my bottom of my heart for myself i will do next will clear math exam too reattempt that thank you so much for ur previous all videos any tips for not concentrating longer hours getting overwhelmed by syallbus and how to solve math phy chem numericals problems 15 days left let's gooo.
Every experiece is worth it and college teach me that I shouldn't waste my life just because everyone is doing it unless of course they are aiming to become a lawyer and doctor, then yes!
Sounds about right!
The end point of the video is that college have different pros and cons depending upon the situation
Loved the topic, God bless y'all 💫
That's right! It just is and the people and experiences you gain in college is essential for people's emotional and social development, in my opinion, at least.
@@CajunKoiAcademy I agree!
Just pray
I need help, in my country college is free but 100% all of them consider French the only language to educate with which is not good as i only speak english, also i dont really want to get so far from my home town because basically university residencies in my country is as bad as prison, so my goal is to reach major that consider english which are business management and pure english teaching, there is no business management college or any related major any near, + i want to play the guaranteed card (college education) and then with time work on the unguaranteed one, so what yall recommend?
Do you guys have any tips for incoming medical students?
YES. this is why I'm taking a gap year [and I have no regrets so far :)) ]
Pls help me all the doctors here 😢,I am a premed student on the gap year , and currently aiming to get into medical school ( because i am just aiming and not preparing 😂) videos like these really help me to consider what i really want out of life , going to med school wasn't in my plan through out my life till highschool where' i realised i really like studying about human body ,i like it how when i get to know something about human body i will come home and tell my father and family like how heart has 4 chambers 😂 ,so i decided to appear for MCAT but these days i realised i was going to med school because i really like learning about human body ,and not treating patients i don't like studying about diseases i don't think so i can do 24 h shifts ,i just like learning how every organ works and that i want to teach it so i thought i will just do mbbs and then do teaching but i came to know that there is another way where i can learn about the whole human body and not having to study diseases ( physiology) what should i do as I don't know what is there in mbbs which will be the best option to pursue for teaching mbbs or physiology or if there is some other pls help?
A masters in Physiology/Anatomy then becoming a researcher or a teacher is one way that I think would suit you. Let's see what other people think.
@@CajunKoiAcademy thank you soo much ✨ 😊 one thing that I really like about this channel is that you will get the reply to your comments no matter what really appreciate your efforts 🥹💙💜

There's a huge difference between people who drop Harvard to people who drop a random college they could enter with a low/medium grade.
Well my college is public so I don't pay for education.
I can agree with you. I learned a lot unnecessary things like advances math. I like learning but sometimes the form of learning isn't the best that's true. I can't say that I didn't learn some interesting stuff which I wouldn't if I didn't went to college.
For an experience I agree with you I have found some great friends here. I have made there some great experience.
I can't say more because I have just started college this year. What I can add that college is not for everyone. I have seen it with my friends who were studying same field as me.
I think everyones experience is different while colleges teach you things that you don't need, it leaves you with lessons and connections that help your development.
So, it isn't all bad or good. It just is. 🙏🏼
as an Austrian student, who pays around 45usd a year for uni, I'd say it is totally worth the experience and a great opportunity to start a business or anything you want. Many points of the video are tremendously regionally dependent
edit: what I think is kinda special about our universities: many people start to go there after already having a good running carreer wanting to change their paths, I see that especially often in my Physics degree
also: there is even a path for high-school dropouts to still get there
I agree and absolutely it depends on the person and the place. The point of the video is if you feel unfulfilled by the education system and are afraid that you will not achieve greatness if you don't succeed College or university, it is wrong. You can absolutely live a fulfilled life despite it.
Yeah, it is good to learn how to learn, and if a course on Coursera its a greater course
In my country, the tuition fee is decreasing day by day. Public universities don't even take payment for food who live in dormitories. but the atmosphere of the universities is getting worse because of dictatorship, that's why my parents want me to go abroad. the most popular (for international students) the tuition fee sucks
US loves $$$ international students
Please use a pop mic!
Too late. I drop out of college last week.
As a college student who commutes, I have a different perspective on college. You can still grow as a person while not in college. If you don't have a reason to go to college, don't feel like you need to go. Get a job, have some life experience and then go if you want to. I think the issue is people think you have to rush through life when life is a journey. Most people don't finish in four years, and rushing can actually hurt you. I will say though that going to college does help you, and if you're smart and don't let ego guide you you can graduate without debt.
Agreed! Its all situational. You drive your journey and if college isn't in it then people shouldn't force it upon themselves.
People who keep gaining skills and network are as intelligent or even more than college graduates who do not invest time in their growth.
There’s also those people that graduated high school and do nothing afterwards so going to college may not be such a bad option
Why do i relate so much?hah
I think college is essential if the job you want requires a college degree, like a doctor, dentist, professor. Otherwise, there's other ways for you to get a job. Anyways, if you can afford it, college is totally useful
i wanna get into editing and publishing industry but idk how
👍😊😊
I think college is great
That's great to hear and I agree. What do you like about your college?
Interesting reflection, but also somewhat unrelatable. Americans (i.e. American students) being probably the majority of the people making these videos are really skewing the perspective on college in all kinds of wrong directions.
Yeah, in other countries going to college is way different.
@@izalaunspach5682 Exactly! Different culture, admission process, expectations, etc. Personally, I had a dream of going to a U.S. college one day, now I don't think I'd ever do that unless I wanted either the prestige (e.g. having gone to a high-profile uni) or was interested in research.
That's valid. It is our perspective so that's why we added that college isn't all bad and it's an important experience to have for development but it cannot and shouldn't be forced.
watch out for anti-intellectualism
i dont have money and i decide to quit and I'm happy with this decision and I love to internet
There are a few courses on coursera and edx that I personally have found quite helpful! There is no limit to learning and it's all thanks to the internet, I agree.
@@CajunKoiAcademy it's a good thing I ask about the internet but on the internet there is soo much information in here and I watch and learn soo many things until I don't proceed with this knowledge and my mind is numb. I ask you to make a video about learning and applying or proceeding with the knowledge. just learn and consume the knowledge if I must make our self and mind very big mess.
Only after becoming a doctor that you can have the audacity to make such a video
relatable
hi this was not relatable to me since im still in school 😂
