Depends on what you're using to launch it. If the game is pirated, you might be SOL
tried to do the retro regens "program files" copy and paste and its just giving error
I have a already started a save, but I have just installed the regens for 07/08. Do the regens work on the current save or only on new ones ?

Are the retro regens up to the current date or do I have to download the retro regens for the 13/14 database to get like kylian mbappe, etc?
The regens are always tailored for the database being downloaded so you need to download each time

@@autismo1x No, they are. Each database has it's own tailor made regens mod to suit the dates so the ages are correct. E.g. 98/99 will have more regends than 07/08 as there are more players to add
Do you need to be a 'patron' to be able to access the regen files to support Mad Scientist retro databases?

i did this with the new 07/08 database and the empty database file on the setup for the game didn’t show up? have i gone wrong somewhere?

I've downloaded your retro regens mod for the 07-08 database, but where do I need to move the edt file after downloading the file? It's currently in the downloads section, but where in the fm24 folder do I need to put it for it to work in game.
I've downloaded the database from steam, so obviously I don't have any files to extract since the database works by just downloading it.
Steam is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Football Manager 2024\data\database\db\2400\edt\permanent

@monke_12_ I have no idea tbh. The save file version may do if its compatible with console and you can get it onto the console

I got it to work, but the player photos are wrong, any tips? EDIT: It seems the photos are mixed up within the team, so players have eachothers photos.

The 99/00 retro database for me still shows the Europa League and the Europa conference league as well as the Carabao cup etc. Any reason why? Also, how can I check that the regens are definitely working in the game? Cheers!
Sounds like the real name fix is changing them
@@Mr_Tini23 Strangely enough, I reloaded my save last night and all the name fixes were suddenly working! I noticed my FM24 were no longer accessible though. If I revert the database back to FM24 will my saves still be there?

What do we do if we can’t get Italy to load in advanced setup? Everything else is working fine including Scotland and all 6 edfs are selected.

@@Mr_Tini23 Aside from the 6 no. I’m just loading the Empty Database, International Comp, International Rules, Italy, Scotland, and Yabani 199900. Scotland works fine for me, it’s only Italy that isn’t.

i don’t suppose anyone can help me? whenever i download the retro regen mod from the patreon i don’t have the same folder as in the video, i only have the support staff file and no matter what i do or where i put it i can’t seem to get it to work.

i actually managed to fix the problem not long after leaving that message, but it’s messed up my faces pack where players now have the wrong pictures so i don’t know what’s up with that.
but if you still need help i just added the staff file to editor data, games and game set up.
can i use current facepack or onyl retro?
You could probably use the current one but none of those players would be in the game so there wouldn’t be any point
Does the fmf V2 fike have the regens in it.
FMF files do not include regens

Unfortunately not
game stops while loading the database when trying to start a new game. Any ideas on how to fix it?

Depending on the mod you are installing you won't have all those files
