@@onassisdenegreirossilveira8617 it would be the same quality. It's good and good price. If taken care of it will last a long time. Not much bad things to say about the cross bow.
I wouldn’t be too worried about bolt velocity. I hunt with handmade longbows that only shoot around 160-170 FPS with no problem. Stick with heavy bolts and fixed blade broadheads and that x-bow will blow through game.
I’ve got a jag 1 Get it zeroed with field points then switch to broad head and zero is off quite heavy and cumbersome I prefer my recurve bow and stalk to ten meters or under which with goats is doable A nice flat trajectory with confident shot placement puts them down Would be cool to see you take something with your Jag It might tempt me to get mine out of storage
even with compound bows your broadheads very rarely hit the same POI as the field points. But how doyou tune it to do bring it back in? haven't seen many video on that
@@kel-jamesdevon8190 that because a lot wont show or admit their mistake or miss, as long as the grouping is good that's what it matters. its not like we shooting mouse with it.
@@kel-jamesdevon8190 if your grouping is a size of a apple that will be awesome, crossbow are pretty accurate, and the broad head and the field head should hit in the same spot, the only problem is if you buy the cheap 3 blade broad head online, I have hade problems with them flying funny in the pass.
I personally don't like having all the stored energy of the compound crossbow right by my face. Ive got a barnett wildcat recurve crossbow that has just enough power for hunting.
At the start I was thinking why would he want a crossbow when he has a rifle and then you mentioned the farmers haha. I've never had problems with farmers but I'm careful around farm edges. I've seen many deer that are technically on public land but are right next to the paddocks so I've left them.
can also shot from the car on the road and no one will know (that's how I get turkeys in the pass) 🤣 not legal. There's another main reason why a got a xbow but will cover that in later video.
@@selfreliancelife9133 If you want turkeys plenty of farmers will be happy for you to shoot them. I've asked them around Otorohanga and have been allowed on a few farms.

adult arrows 🤣 I just call them heavier arrows but yes , one problem I have with that is I cant shoot to far, got to get closer. like I said its possible to take game down with a horse bow.
I shot a 195 lb wild boar last month with my 65 lb Compound Bow.300 fps.Have hunted with a recurve Bow for 45 years, taken pigs, deer, goats and many other game including fish like Koi carp..a Cross bow is to weak for my liking..compounds are very powerful
@@selfreliancelife9133 haha, We have a piece of paradise up North in Kaiwaka, great fishing below the house on the Kaipara. Wild pigs swim the river and attacked our Kunekune boar so I had to drop him, I was standing next to our bed and fired through an open window at 30 mtrs, heart shot he ran 20 mtrs and was down. Not many around that close but I have seen 4 this year, had hunters here with dogs , they saw and got nothing..my sows in heat bring them..
a goat is easy to kill with it, deer can be done as long as your not to far away, deer reaction is good coz when they hear the bolt start flying they duck down and you can miss.

cheers mate. got a few videos to do, still waiting on TPK to do a pig hunting video with his dog. will get to it.
Awesome video, thank you. Good to see a video from a kiwi as the others are all foreign and you never know if the product we have here is the same.

Hello friend, I'm from Brazil! Does the Jag 2 have good quality and durability? Would it be better or worse than Mankung crossbows? thanks

Do you use a false string to change strings? I don't have one in the package. Is there any technique for changing strings without a false string?
I have no experience with changing the string on these. They normally come with the string on from the manufacturer. Cheers
