Wow. that's was a wonderful eulogy, well delivered by President Ford's son. Perhaps the best thing we can say, among many, about Ford and Carter is that they both proved that you don't have to hate your opponent.

There is an uncanny and extremely timely message from Former President Ford that could not be any more relevant in our politics today. What a beautiful friendship these two men had!

When he walked to the podium, I thought to myself, he has a resemblance of Former President ,Gerald Ford. Little that I knew, Mr. Steven Ford is Gerald Ford's son. Yes, job well done. I enjoyed his eulogy. This was a beautiful service for Jimmy Carter, our late 39th President

A wonderful eulogy, so typical of President Ford. The depths of the friendship was so evident and touching. I forgot that it was one President speaking about another, but that of someone saying goodbye to a dear friend. This country was fortunate to have good and decent men in the Oval Office at that time in history

Globally you can hardly hear an unkind word spoken of Jimmy Carter even from his political adversaries both domestically and internationally . This in and of itself is testament to the goodness of the man and the mark he has left in this world in making it a better place , the like of which we are unlikely to see ever again. He now belongs to the ages.

I really couldn't help but notice that while Steven Ford's gave his eulogy, with an emphasis on Ford and Carter's friendship despite their rivalry, that it contrasted with a lot of pettiness displayed on the part of the former presidents and their wives. The Bushes wouldn't acknowledge Trump. I used to think so much of Laura Bush, but found her and her smirky expression very disappointing. Jill Biden and Kamala Harris were two icebergs sitting side by side. Joe Biden looked like he was napping, Trump, well I have no words for him and his general obnoxiousness. Obama behaved pretty well, but Michelle not showing up displayed a not surprising total lack of class. She just pretends to have it but actions speak louder than words. She just couldn't be bothered to leave Hawaii and meet an obligation that former first ladies typically meet. The Clintons weren't too bad but isolated themselves somewhat. I say all of this in light of Steven Ford's speech which had a theme of unity between rivals. Apparently Obama was the only one who did his "homework" and tried to be civil to a rival. I am not a fan of his, but at least he tried to do the "civil".

@@LS-up7qv Are you a joke? Trump is as vile, petty, & classless as anyone on Earth. To avoid him, is to not sink to his level of pathetic, childish, & narcissistic ramblings. He was just complaining that Carter’s death was going to put the nation’s flags at half mast. You think that’s “decent “? Get a grip and a clue.

California has a highly diverse geography, and the soil varies greatly depending on the region and climate. Generally, it can be described as follows:
    1. Soil in Coastal and Desert Areas
In regions such as Southern California or the Mojave Desert, the soil is often sandy or dry, resulting from the arid climate and high temperatures.
    2. Soil in Valleys and Agricultural Zones
In the Central Valley, the soil is very fertile, consisting of sediments deposited by multiple rivers, making it ideal for farming.
    3. Soil in Mountainous Areas
In the Sierra Nevada mountain range, the soil is typically derived from the weathering of rocks, such as granite. The soil tends to be thin and less suitable for cultivation compared to the valleys.
    4. Sandy Soil in Some Areas
In some parts of California, such as areas near the coast or deserts, the soil can be sandy, particularly near the sea, due to natural sand deposits.
If you have questions about a specific area in California or want to know which type of soil is best for certain crops, feel free to ask!
