I went to the funeral of a man who was killed by a drunk driver. There were probably about 60 people there. I noticed no one said one negative word about the drunk driver. I think it was because everyone has driven drunk at least once and everyone realizes that could have been them.

1:02:00. Fighters play a slick game with the PR speak when they say "there was only a tiny amount of steroids in my system at the drug test". Steroids are done during training. You'll never see a fighter test positive with massive levels of steroids in their system. They clean out their system before the test. So the fact that there is even trace amounts of PE's during a drug test shows just how much was in his system during training. But I love when Jones says "we are still trying to find out how they got in my body". Hahahahahaha. Thats pure politician right there.

Cormier’s resume is supremely underrated. Going 22-3 with his losses being against Stipe Miocic twice when he was quite arguably in his prime (in the first fight DC was absolutely blasting Stipe and likely would’ve TKO’d most guys who didn’t have the chin and toughness that Miocic had). The third “loss” was in 2015 to Jon Jones. They had a rematch two years later where Jones viciously knocked out Cormier but then tested positive for a PED. With Jones’ use of recreational drugs, PEDs and the fact that HE HID UNDER THE FIGHTING RING AT HIS GYM FOR OVER 10 HOURS it’s safe to say that Jon was taking PEDs for multiple fights, including his first “win” against Cormier. Chael Sonnen, who also fought and was dominated by Jones, said that as soon as he clinched with Jones he was thinking, “I know your secret. I know what you’re on because I’m on the same thing”. Chael said “Jones was on more juice than Tropicana”. So I don’t count his loss against Jones and his first fight against Stipe was just a masterclass in adjustments and coaching by Stipe and his corner. I wonder if people would remember DC’s career differently if he was built more like Alex Pereira instead of being built like an average UFC fan (with more fat than DC and minus all the muscle). He definitely isn’t talked about and respected as much he should be.

I started watching mma when dc was coming from strike force I always thought DC coming up was crazy but grew to dislike him as a young adult. Now as an adult this guy is someone who did it right
I saw the title, clicked on the video, and immediately liked it before even watching it. DC was not only a great athlete and fighter, he's a great man. This is how I think a man should be - he's savage but it's contained; he seems to be a family man, devoted and very involved with the kids; he's a great coach, a respectable leader and big brother to his guys at the gym; he's a fun friend, even a good employee - I'm sure he's not perfect but for someone to be at this level of greatness in so many aspects of his life - Jon Jones will never hold a candle to this good human being. I really have so much respect and admiration for this man and I'm happy from the bottom of my heart when he gets his due.

Respectfully I disagree. He has beaten Matyushenko and Vera whom are not known by the average post Conor-Khabib casuals but they were big names and really good fighters at their prime (Matyushenko was 10-1 in his last 11 fights prior jones), and the Bader fight was a clear number 1 contender fight. That division was insanely stacked, but at the same time it was full of so many legends who lasted so long that at that time everybody fought with everybody pretty much. Pretty similar to today's Lightweight division without the one dominant guy, but the LHW division had even more big names.

You'll never see a fighter test positive with massive levels of steroids in their system. They clean out their system before the test. So the fact that there is even trace amounts of PE's during a drug test shows just how much was in his system during training. But I love when Jones says "we are still trying to find out how they got in my body". Hahahahahaha. Thats pure politician right there.

Cormier’s resume is supremely underrated. Going 22-3 with his losses being against Stipe Miocic twice when he was quite arguably in his prime (in the first fight DC was absolutely blasting Stipe and likely would’ve TKO’d most guys who didn’t have the chin and toughness that Miocic had). The third “loss” was in 2015 to Jon Jones. They had a rematch two years later where Jones viciously knocked out Cormier but then tested positive for a PED. With Jones’ use of recreational drugs, PEDs and the fact that HE HID UNDER THE FIGHTING RING AT HIS GYM FOR OVER 10 HOURS it’s safe to say that Jon was taking PEDs for multiple fights, including his first “win” against Cormier. Chael Sonnen, who also fought and was dominated by Jones, said that as soon as he clinched with Jones he was thinking, “I know your secret. I know what you’re on because I’m on the same thing”. Chael said “Jones was on more juice than Tropicana”.
So I don’t count his loss against Jones and his first fight against Stipe was just a masterclass in adjustments and coaching by Stipe and his corner.
I wonder if people would remember DC’s career differently if he was built more like Alex Pereira instead of being built like an average UFC fan (with more fat than DC and minus all the muscle).
He definitely isn’t talked about and respected as much he should be.

This is how I think a man should be - he's savage but it's contained; he seems to be a family man, devoted and very involved with the kids; he's a great coach, a respectable leader and big brother to his guys at the gym; he's a fun friend, even a good employee - I'm sure he's not perfect but for someone to be at this level of greatness in so many aspects of his life - Jon Jones will never hold a candle to this good human being. I really have so much respect and admiration for this man and I'm happy from the bottom of my heart when he gets his due.
