- The All Blacks kept their Eden Park winning streak intact with a powerful performance against Ireland. An early try from Keith Earls was not enough to stop the hosts racing away in the first half and despite a better 2nd half the home side were too strong. #TeamofUs #ShoulderToShoulder #NZvIRE
Ardie should be captain his work rate is amazing + always consistent. Well done AB from a SA supporter .

@Ben Moore Must say growing up in NZ as a kid we started playing rugby at a very early age, I remember every break at school we would have a rugby ball in our hands playing or kicking goals or playing a game we call bullrush, which really helped with our rugby skills and determination to make it across the line. Just like a lot of the kids in England and different parts of the world have a soccer ball(football)
glued to their feet.
@@tarzangoldblum567 Irish provincial sides mirror our own. Tribalism and respect for each other. New Zealanders are looked after over in Ireland. Remember the famous story the IRA held off their attacks because the All Blacks were in town.

Funnily enough I actively dislike that commentator for his forced over the top style of commentary ! !
@@theknowledge.6869 facts
@@theknowledge.6869 yeah me too, even that comment about running through puddles sounded rehearsed
Still my favourite ever commentary quip was, I think an Irish commentator during a Heineken Cup match, after one of the teams had just scored an outstanding try, said _"Its champaign rugby with extra bubbles!"_
Classic commentary, would pay to have his commentary for southern hemisphere games
Nah that grubber and the vision from Beauden Barrett was incredible
Yeah looked like a fake cross-field then flicked the switch into a micro-short-fast grubber that killed the centres' rush defence. One of the best "plays" I've seen in years and perfect location on the pitch. Ball in that position on the pitch, they knew their options perfectly.
Then the split backs scrum in the middle with big carry by number 8 was perfect: Spread 'em, then go down the middle, if they concentrate in the middle then spread fast ball. Teams should score in that context 8/10 times.
The one good kick he did all night. The rest were rubbish.
@@brucefale6132 Who?
He has that ex factor about him he stuck his hand out and prevented the Irish from scoring around the 20 min mark which probably would've made it 12-0 to Ireland a timely intercept.

Awesome game, the All Blacks defence is what won them the game. And Eden Parks unbeaten streak continues, can't wait for the second test I bet it will be as equally entertaining as the first if not more so
I didn’t think it was that entertaining, not long after 20 minutes it was clear who was going to win. Hopefully the next me will be closer. The AB’s are usually entertaining win or lose.
Yes they only missed 15 tackles out of 200.
I thought it was their ability to make individual breaks and trust themselves to score.
Great contest between 2 proud nations👍🇮🇪🇳🇿would like to give special mention to Ardie Savea who just never stops and in my opinion worlds best player👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
100% I rate him the same Ardie has dominated the number 8 Jersey for the AB and no replacement good enough to challenge him in NZ currently. Player of the match today.
@@steveaustin7997 he is too small for 8 or 6 but a huge engine. A good 7. We accommodate for sam I am captain. We looked better with reserves on. Pita at 8. The defensive hole was 12,13 where the Irish found all their tries.will need Goodhue or Havilli back to plug that gap. Was good to see all black reserves bring back better again, haven't seen that in a while.
Scott Barrett at 6 flies into rucks with his leading shoulder, another ref would've carded him, the look of guilty across his face. He doesn't look like changing his "send me off" style.

Congrats All blacks 👌

Cheers brothers. Still behind you fellas in France 🇫🇷 😎
As a Kiwi I am happy we won but in all honesty there are only small adjustments that need to be made by Ireland to be in with a shout. Defensive missed passes that allowed the ABs to attack from broken play, better set piece play and more decisive pods at the line will need to be fixed and if they are Ireland are right I it. Ireland did get over us a couple of times.
Keep in mind Ireland have been playing together before this game so there team chemistry is already on a roll where as this is All Blacks first game together.. so they are gonna have to adjust a lot against a more confident All blacks side the next few weeks
as ever a very humble and gracious Kiwi, why we prefer you to arrogant Aussies
i agree with ya helo but at lineout da all blacks jumped right across da line twice which resulted in turnovers so that's up to da ref to call that, those were two more building moments that could have made da scoreline closer but ya da all black's deserved da win overall, Ireland gifted two soft tries and got punished
Ok coach wanker
@@damienjackson9214
The missed passes were a result of pressure applied from NZ giving Ireland a taste of it's own medicine with "rush" defence. NZ contesting the set piece also resulted in turnover at Lineout & Scrum

Doubt? There's been very low expectations from the Irish media going into the tour. Most optimistic say "if we could nick 1 one that'd be huge"

A tough lesson for Ireland. Fell asleep at the end of the first half and the game as a competition was over in the space of about 10 minutes. Good periods of play but this doesn't bode well for the rest of the tour, think our lads are gona be wrecked after that physical effort and the injuries are mounting up rapidly whereas NZ have a few key players coming back in next week.

They may have wanted it more but they are on a different skill level altogether, from an Irishman!
@@johnmc3862 In a way you’re right however, I like to think that it was more about not allowing Ireland to create history of beating the AB’s in three consecutive games in consecutive years. Historically and consistently every season, the AB’s have always had more W’s in the right hand column, rather than L’s. Points for and against is nothing short or phenomenal, on many occasions usually with less possession than their opponents. I truly believe but, I could be wrong, the AB’s have the best home and away record. At the end of the day, both sides would have gladly settled for a one point win and bragging rights. Ireland will come back strongly but, I expect the AB’s to have improved also.

You can clearly see NZ is the stronger and faster team. Ireland competitive but not close contest.
It was apart from a ten minute period? Difficult game to really assess. I think the result was flattering to the ABs in the end. You can see from the stats that if Ireland fix a few issues the score would have been much closer. I hope we get to see Ireland put together a complete performance for the second test so we can really see where the ABs and some of their players are at. Biggest area of concern for Ireland is their scrum and maul, which didn’t live up to expectations, much like the mid week side. kim jong un, what has 'white' got to do with his statement?
There were some encouraging signs. But this is the learning. To play the AB's they have to play the fast phase game early in each half (to get the edge) and then ease off a bit - they cannot sustain the intensity without tiring and then the AB's will pounce. They can still retain the ball by using the pod/secondary option system to build pressure for penalties and deny the AB's the ball to respond with (but certainly not the offloading under pressure that results in lost ball). A periodic switch back to the fast phase option if the opposition gets ahead/is ahead later in the half.
The Irish got it about right in Dunedin. But with the decider in Wellington to come there will be no further advice.
