Can we just appreciate that this bro whipped out a 55 pound bin of pure caffeine he's been using for two decades and a bunch of experimental pep pills.
Hello. I finally found a channel that deals with carbonated drinks. I am interested in food technology in applications in beverages and for the first time I came across such a professional approach to the subject of beverages. Of course I subscribed to your channel and will be joining the patrons. Regards and keep doing it! :-) Tom
This is amazing. How did it take me so long to discover your channe....I used to look for a recipe like this for years, but every single one I found was some basic version with regular ingredients you have at home. I almost thought it's not possible to make at home. I love the fact that you're using the actual professional ingredients for this energy drink, I'm definitely going to try this, hopefully I can find a good supplier for these ingredients here in Germany. Thanks for the recipe! I just subscribed and now I'll check out your other videos
Super great video again! Thanks for sharing. Theanine a compound in green and other teas, in a ratio of 2 parts theanine to 1 part caffeine, is a nice addition to energy drinks as well.

Hey man i was thinking of making my own powder energy drink and i was wondering if you have a link for a good caffeine powder also what things would i need to be able to sell to a store?
I'm currently exploring alternatives to coffee because I haven't fully embraced energy drinks yet. While I enjoy using pre-workout powder for weightlifting, I find it to be quite pricey. I'd be interested in a syrup-based option or something with less sugar as a cost-effective alternative. I've tried caffeine pills, but they don't seem to give me the same boost as the pre-workout powder. Thanks for sharing informative videos on the topic!
This looks like a good alternative to the 200$ I spend a month on monster energy drinks. The only thing I wonder is, without a soda stream, would the carbonation levels be comparable to an off the shelf energy drink or would it be more comparable to a sparkling water, or is there not an actual difference in the carbonation levels between the two?
Thank you so much for the detailed information. I was wondering what the example tastes like. In my opinion there is a big difference between red bull and monster energy. Especially with all the strawberry flavour. I thought red bull has something to do with a pear flavor. But I'm going to try out anyway

Thank you for the great video! Very informative you explain very well. If I may ask you a question my concern is ethyl acetate from what I’m reading. It says it’s solvent. Is it safe to use? thank you appreciate a response if you can
Can this drink be made with out your flavor compound? Is seems like the base ingredients for most energy drinks are water caffeine, taurine, sugar and carbonated water. I have some experience flavoring homemade candy and I would imagine these drinks could be flavored in a similar process.
Question for ya, why is it that when it comes to flavor you add less but when it comes to smell you add more? Is it because of travel time to the nose?
Actually, it is the other way around. Taste is sweet sour salty and bitter and we consume grams and ounces of sugars and acids. For smell, we smell in milligrams per litre (quart) so smell is thousands and tens of thousands of times more sensitive than taste.
Hello sir! I have a question about the acidity of drinks and sodas. Beyond the flavor and texture of the drink, is there a reason that soft drinks are traditionally acidic? would a mildly alkaline solution preserve just as well? Thank you
Some b vitamins has been shown to increase dopamine and so should subsequently increase motivation such as vitamin B1 and vitamin B6 but for vitamin B1, unless if it's fat soluble version, you need to take so much for a while to saturate your tissues to reach the same serum level you'd get from an IV. Active Vitamin B6 (pyridoxal 5' phosphate) is probably the only one that works in moderate doses of 10mg but if you take too much you could damage your nerves so it's probably not possible to just add it to drinks. Usually increasing and improving sugar metabolism should improve motivation to some degree but obviously nothing like cocaine
Vitamin B6 (pyridoxal 5' phosphate) actually helps you sleep, it doesn't do much for motivation. B6 is used by the body to produce lots of compounds, some related to motivation, but by itself isn't very motivating.
how much does the caffeine taste in the end product and could it be replaced with something else if it does? As someone who enjoys the flavor of classic energy drinks, but does not care about the "energy boost", I would honestly like to make caffeine-free energy drink.
I'm not great at understanding chemistry and how chemicals combined make new chemicals but I was wondering if anything here creates calcium oxalate or if you know where that comes from at all considering that seems to be the first thing to worry about with kidney stones (from a 2 second google search lol) and how that is a worry with these kinds of energy drinks. Is that a problem to consider here or honestly with any of your homemade recipes? Love the channel, want to try some of these things soon myself!
No problem, keep watching and I guarantee you'll get better at understanding chemistry. A few notes: 1. When we mix flavours, there are no chemical reactions happening, so what gets put into the drink is stable and stays that way. That's a general rule of food, you need to make sure it is stable. 2. Energy drinks don't contain oxalates, coffee and tea do, but oxalates are found in many foods like vegetables. The issue is how your body processes them and the concern with caffeine is that it can cause slight dehydration (diuretic) though if you are a regular caffeine drink the diuretic effect doesn't happen. The original thought was that diuretics could increase calcium oxalate, but research has shown that caffeine's diuretic effect may be beneficial by removing more calcium from the kidneys, preventing stones. Here is a document from the National Kidney Foundation: bit.ly/kidneyst 3. This energy drink recipe does not contain caffeine.
Do you think I can manage to get this to taste like a energy drink without adding caffeine? I only drink it for the taste itself, I don't like the cons of having such amount of caffeine if I'm drinking it everyday.
