Thank you, Craig. I’m healing from an internal abdominal injury. It’s been taking me 40 minutes just to sit up or get off the bed so I think some of your suggestions here will be very helpful. Much appreciated!

Thank you so much for these practical tips.
I'm a T4-C and in 4 yr I have never learned most of this stuff.

Omg.. Thank you so much!! I'm still a new paraplegic. For the life of me, I just couldn't figure this out... I did it the first test after watching your video!! I feel so accomplished 😁

I'm a T6 with just about the same level that you have from the sternum down. I typically use my right arm to pull myself up on the side of the mattress. I'm 6' - 2" and about 200 pounds, which works against you when you're immobile. It was great when I could walk, but now that height only gets in the way. I also sometimes swing one of my arms, using the momentum and weight of my arm to help me sit up.
Thanks for your advice, it's quite helpful! Take care, God bless!

Hello Craige. I'm quite interested in your video. It's so helpful for many people with SCI in my community. Could I translate your video into Vietnamese for those who cannot understand English. Thank you so much

This will really help once my shoulder heals and I can use both arms again. Thank you so much.
Does anyone know how to move into the proper place in the seat of a powerchair with paralysis from chest down and only one usable arm?
I've been having to sit on my folded spine instead of my rump and it really hurts but I can't find a way to scoot back. I've tried tilting back and using a bar to lift my top half and wiggle, which used to work. We've tried a draw cloth placed under me when I'm lowered into the chair via hoyer lift. They've grabbed my pants and pulled while using their full body weight, plus I'm tilted and leaned forward and wiggling. I was 197 cm before all this and while the muscle has faded and I've done well keeping from gaining weight, I am too big to be light weight and still be healthy. Just some information for anyone wanting to help.
Any help would be appreciated even if it doesn't work out for me. Thank you.

Hi! Not sure I can say much more than what we covered in the video, but keep working on building up your strength and it will get easier over time. Now I can do way more now than I could when I was 4 months post injury. Maybe make sure to ask whoever is with you to leave things within reach before they leave. Do you have a friend/family member who can be on call if needs be? I've been lucky enough to never be on my own for long periods of time, so sorry I can't help more.

Although I am a T4 incomplete I am fused from pelvis to C5. I am not very flexible, However I have recently been able to wipe my own butt which was agreat achievement , I am 69 and have been a paraplegic for 2 years. I think that my back is very unique,
