That turned out nice. I think we all have a strong appreciation for nice lumber. Thanks for sharing. That was a lot of work for two boards but we know the value of lumber these days. 👍
Some nice header boards log looked straight as a gun barrel that helps alot. Looking forward seeing more of the building project. Have a good New Year Richard and family
Happy New Year Richard. My Dad got into wood working and sawed gobs of white palled, ash, cherry and walnut. I just sold the last of the walnut boards last week. I still have some 2x12’s, 2x10’s, and some 2x8’s that are walnut. There is a bunch of live edge boards and planks that are red oak. I think I am going to try my hand at making some epoxy /resin river tables, shelves, etc Who knows, I may just have found my reason to get out of a truck and retire
@@hysingerfarms4527 , indeed. I watched a you tube video recently where someone made a live edge epoxy/ resin table for someone and got $10,000 for it. It was beautiful but it was bed, bath, and beyond my budget.
It wont take long to pay for that mill. I priced some 2x12x20s the other day. They were $75 dollars a piece at the local lumber shed. I would love to have one. I've got some good oak logs on my farm that I would like to saw up for a floor in my lowboy when it comes time to replace it.

I looked around a long time looking for a tree that was as straight as could be so it would be easier to mill
