Digital zoom is not comparable with optical zoom, yes...but zooming gives a different view to the subject, and modern smartphones don't just crop the image, it controls better light and focus while zooming.

I am of your fan subscriber always prefer your learning video for photography....
I always using 4:3 ratio than I can take my best shots.
My phone doesn't have wide angle lense, but always choose standard camera photography.
Not using zoom technique prefer closer techniques.
And other Rule of third my bestest capturing experiences.
Aspect ratio mistake is genuinely most important for sharp photos!👍
