This is lit; fly as fuck legit. It does have the feeling and vibe of a track by DJ Quik, but it's also uniquely different. IMO nobody can make music like DJ Quik, but you did capture that feel that is reminiscent. Keep making music. We need more REAL music! Most indy producers on YT are making whack beats that have instruments that are out of beat with the rhythm. Stagnent. They have no clue, because they can't dance, or head bop too. Their snare drum is out of beat with their kick, and they don't even feel it. Then everything else just misaligned on top. But this is produced properly.

If need to go back and rearrange the entire track but just not with dj quiks signature sound 🙏🏽if he was in the studio with big name record executives they would say " we heard this sound before " can you come up with something DIFFERENT
