Sylvia, hear me out: You have an old RCA broadcaster console; you have a transfixing whisper voice; the skills and experience you possess in dealing with people, technical and creative excellence, curiosity, goodwill, patience, grace, humor, and entrepreneurial spirit, are absolutely priceless--and, you already encourage us regularly in your videos across platforms to 'grow some balls,' be bold, think big, to, in essence, stop making excuses and get after it already! In 2020, you're already a treasure in the audio community, and while we're all in quarantine and, as a nation, unbelievably anxious, hyper-vigilant, operating with such bad-faith suspicion about *everything*, an ASMR-type series of no-bullshit, Stoic mentoring, with a sense of irreverent humor, would become profoundly useful, hilarious, inspiring, restorative, and profitable. I think you'd have a really strong following of people lined up to support that content through subscriptions and tips!
Really helpful series of videos, thanks. I'm looking at a used patchfield on Ebay that goes to EDACs, and your vids give me a bit more confidence that it is something I would be able to work on. Looks like very painstaking work, and I am sure you are making it look easy - but tips like tapering the cuts so the wire can connect without straining the cables at the end of the connector are worth their weight in marzipan for a newbie like me! Thank you!
Can you make a you tube all about the damn actuating screws and associated parts for panel mount mating? The locking nuts and polarizing nuts are my nemesis.
One day Sylvia when I already my own big studio I may apply this concept on my setup. Thanks for sharing! 🖤
You have incredible tenacity
