Actually, the narrator gets the first thing wrong. Loyd doesn't leave the village and become stronger than all the villagers. Everyone in the village is still more OP. He's just the weakest in the village, but outside the village, all the normal people are just regular humans. It's like a village of yellow sun powered kryptonians, and the weakest kryptonian goes to the human cities.
I love how Kunlun is just so overpowered that their entire scheme of making Lloyd feel better and not feel pathetic is destroying the world. Even Sou, his motivation was just to make Lloyd a hero and there wasn't anything nefarious about it but just the scenario that had to happen in order to demand a hero needs the world to be under threat.
To me, I couldn't finish this anime. The reason for the reason is due to the fact that the girl in charge of him treats him like a toddler instead of someone his age. The next is him just being so stupid for not realizing his strength, knowing how the others react to him and his powers. Another reason was that he is being held back, knowing full well that he could help the world, but the girl in charge of him constantly doesn't want him to use his powers or do anything he wants to do.
I agree, mostly. She won't let him get involved in worldly affairs because that's not what she and her kind are there for. If it's a demon king or some huge disaster, he gets full reigns. But yes, as a leader, she sucks since everything happening after episode 4 is her fault. In fact, I wouldn't even bother watching after Ep4.
