This is Brandon Miller, Amanda Miller was my sister. We miss you Amanda. Thank you for dedicating the Amanda workout in her honor. If only she was still alive to see it! For those that aren’t aware, Amanda died back in 2010 from melanoma and was only 24 yrs old.
That’s devastating, I’m sorry for your loss
My condolences to you, may she rest in peace.

Lol @ these announcers basically naysaying Jamie Greene's experience (when she's been to the Games before Team) and strategy ("she's going too fast", "she shouldn't have done touch and go" for her to then win the whole workout.

I love Crossfit. I really do. I enjoy doing it. But the commentators for the games have to be chosen better. When we highlight people taking shirts off, we look like a dumb sport. Pat Sherwood should always be on the mic.

Watching for the third time since the games. Love it! I wonder now that I am watching the events in order. Had the athletes performed this Amanda work out as the first event on the first day, or any day for that matter. Had they smoked it?
One thing I love about these competitions is the ladies, although VERY muscular, don't have a man's voice! In other words, they aren't using steroids.

Does Dottir & son mean what we think they mean - these people add their father or mother's name as their last name and add Daughter or Son to it? So, basically I am so-and-so's daughter or son?

If you’re a man you’re son ( I would be seanson) but if you’re a women your Dottir ( seandottir). It’s just your dads first name then son or dottir

Here it seems a bit different but essentially the father gets to give his name to his children - why not the mother also?
For the rest of the world I would say let the girls have their mother's last name and the boys their father's last name or vice versa - that would be cool to see

flat asses you mean. I don't understand how most of them have no butts when they do so many squats. 90% of them are ugly and look disproportionate. And I'm talking as a guy who loves a fit woman. But I commend them on their strength and determination. That's why I keep on watching.
