my son is a prodigal today, but when he was about 6 yrs old and even younger, he would sing Blessed Assurance all the time. When you started singing part of that hymn, I remembered my son singing it and I was so encouraged and touched! Wow! God placed this in my path a week ago but choose today to listen. I'm praying for my prodigal son to come home. He rededicated himself with a girlfriend he just started dating and the enemy has had his claws on him since. 😭😭😭😭 literally crying right now. I make myself available when he calls but I have he hangs up after I tell him I love him without replying he would never.. my heart is shattered in a million pieces.
I am sitting here remembering how my mother took her prayers to the grave for her 12 children she called us her 12 disciples, believing for our salvation and healing. Some of us have come to the Lord but still others have not. As being the oldest my mom told me to carry the mantle and keep praying not only for my 4sons but for my unsaved siblings. I know God is faithful and he has carried me and given me the strength to keep trusting him and believing that the battle is his and he's got this..God's word for me is Isaiah 54:13..all my children shall be taught of the Lord and great shall be my children's peace. But I have many many promises that God has given me from his word. It's 1:47 a.m. June 10th and I just finished watching. Earlier today, out of the blue, I thought to myself that it would be something if my prodigal wrote me a letter. A short while ago, I began watching this and paused after the prodigal's letter. I knew the 2nd letter was coming, I just needed a couple minutes to cry and pray. While praying, the LORD told me to look in my journal. So, I opened it to the back and found a letter I'd written to Him, Jesus, on Jan 1st, this year. I'd forgotten I wrote it. I cried, knowing He is Comforter and He does keep ALL His promises. He is our Hope. Thank you for obeying God.
So good. My prodigals have been “gone” for more than a decade and all hope seems lost...but God... oh Lord forgive for giving up praying for what seems impossible. Give me faith to go on - IF IT IS YOUR WILL. If restoration is not Your perfect will then I’m asking for the 7 fold recompense for what satan has stolen in Jesus mighty name Amen 😭😭😭😭

I am watching this 7 months later and I am weeping because this is a word in season for me right now concerning my son! He is only 14 but things have been so hard with him. It's like I could see the evil in him. I have been praying and crying out to God for him but nothing has been happening. And like she said it has been knocking me and my faith to the ground. So many things said in this were so on point it almost scares me! My son used to say as a young boy he wanted to be a pastor when he grew up. Now I don't even think he believes in God anymore. But I still say he will be a pastor and help many one day in Jesus name! Thank you once again Mrs. Karen for being obedient to Holy Spirit and speaking to me🙏🏼🙌🏼❤️

I’ve received back my own prodigal but am also praying for my friend’s estranged daughter to return to her and I have full faith in God’s timing and plan. He spoke to me as Lyndsey read “Don’t stop praying for me!” I cried listening today (I do during most of these front porch words) and was deeply touched. I was entering my prayer this Morning on the You Version App. It was so heartfelt and deep to our Heavenly Father. I was calling the Holy Spirit to be Sovereign and cover my Prodigals and my Grandbabies. Then I closed my eyes for just a moment to process my next thought in WORSHIP. Then I opened my eyes. My prayer was gone....it didn't save!!! I cried in heartbreak. In desperation I asked the LORD if he saw the prayer. I have prayed the Lord would not allow him to leave this world without knowing Him as Lord and Savior. I fasted cause I had to know if he was going to live or die. This is what the Lord spoke to me, “This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby.” John 11:4 I am presently reading your book “Watching The Road” what a blessing this book has been to me. Jesus and I had a special time as I poured out my hurt and anguish over our prodigal, Cheyenne. I told him my dreams and hopes for her but that I know He has plans for her. Jeremiah 29:11-13. I ah e 2 prodigals that I absolutely don’t know what to do. I have been praying, pleading the blood of Jesus over their lives and grandchildren. I’m fighting with prayer and fasting, but it seems so long, and I am tired and just needed to hear that God is hearing me. I needed to hear this word today. Oh that I could have a relationship with my children. But more importantly they have a relationship with Christ.
I was literally reading your book, Watching the Road, when I received this link through a text message from a dear friend who is seeking her daughter in another state after getting word that her daughter has over-dosed. Before she and her husband arrived at the hospital her daughter had left without being checked out. They don’t know where she is, and the nurse told them she is in bad shape. This is the second time in 8 months that she has over dosed. This is the sweet friend who gave me your book! What a God thing!! Your book has encouraged us to stand strong in the face of these kind of circumstances. Thank you so much for sharing your testimony, and being obedient to share His Word, it was special meeting Lindsey after reading about what God has done for her.

Tears, the Letter from the prodigal gave me so much insight and renewed my compassion for my prodigal who lives with me in her addiction to alcohol and drugs, and dealing with bipolar and anxiety disorder. I did literally ask the Lord to either save her and heal her or take me out of here.. I cannot deal with this anymore. My tolerance is gone. Cannot thank you enough for your faith, your ministry and your passion for other families’ prodigals. I’ve received back my own prodigal but am also praying for my friend’s estranged daughter to return to her and I have full faith in God’s timing and plan. He spoke to me as Lyndsey read “Don’t stop praying for me!” I cried listening today (I do during most of these front porch words) and was deeply touched. Thank you and thank our precious Lord who’s so sweet to us always and through you, Karen and Lyndsey.

I was entering my prayer this Morning on the You Version App. It was so heartfelt and deep to our Heavenly Father. I was calling the Holy Spirit to be Sovereign and cover my Prodigals and my Grandbabies. Then I closed my eyes for just a moment to process my next thought in WORSHIP. Then I opened my eyes. My prayer was gone....it didn't save!!!
I cried in heartbreak. In desperation I asked the LORD if he saw the prayer.

Thank you Miss Karen. I’ve been praying for 21 years for my Son. I’ve seen him go to hell but he’s on his way back. I’ve fasted and prayed many times for him. I have prayed the Lord would not allow him to leave this world without knowing Him as Lord and Savior. I fasted cause I had to know if he was going to live or die. This is what the Lord spoke to me, “This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby.” John 11:4 I am presently reading your book “Watching The Road” what a blessing this book has been to me. Thank you so much for candor and the Truth of the precious Word of God. I love the Fire and Fight of the Holy Ghost in you. This is exactly what I needed! Could you please pray for my old father suffering from severe lung infection he is not coperating with the hospital staff in removed the phelm from his lungs. Oh, I am crying. Karen, your words today are confirmation of what happened on my back porch last evening. Jesus and I had a special time as I poured out my hurt and anguish over our prodigal, Cheyenne. I told him my dreams and hopes for her but that I know He has plans for her. Jeremiah 29:11-13. Spent 2 hours back there in His presence filling me with hope and peace. Your words confirmed my meeting with Jesus. Seeing Lindsey fills me with hope and faith. God bless you guys. I had to wait a long time see my son come in that he came in I was waiting and waiting for the Lord to save his life and he came in he's preaching the word of God and I thank God for that I would like to see Angelique my little granddaughter again you know out of that kind of life and get into the Life of Christ now I know the Northland River Inn was 18 days ago she wanted to come home she called my daughter but my daughter was not home she was out of the state she was not home so Lord I know that you're working on her Hallelujah thank God that he working on her and she's going to have a baby too let's pray that she'll get that baby and get herself back to the Lord and get home thank you Karen for this

I ah e 2 prodigals that I absolutely don’t know what to do. I have been praying, pleading the blood of Jesus over their lives and grandchildren. I’m fighting with prayer and fasting, but it seems so long, and I am tired and just needed to hear that God is hearing me. I needed to hear this word today. Oh that I could have a relationship with my children. But more importantly they have a relationship with Christ.
I was literally reading your book, Watching the Road, when I received this link through a text message from a dear friend who is seeking her daughter in another state after getting word that her daughter has over-dosed. Before she and her husband arrived at the hospital her daughter had left without being checked out. They don’t know where she is, and the nurse told them she is in bad shape. This is the second time in 8 months that she has over dosed. This is the sweet friend who gave me your book! What a God thing!! Your book has encouraged us to stand strong in the face of these kind of circumstances. Thank you so much for sharing your testimony, and being obedient to share His Word, it was special meeting Lindsey after reading about what God has done for her.

Tears, the Letter from the prodigal gave me so much insight and renewed my compassion for my prodigal who lives with me in her addiction to alcohol and drugs, and dealing with bipolar and anxiety disorder. I did literally ask the Lord to either save her and heal her or take me out of here.. I cannot deal with this anymore. My tolerance is gone. Thank you for this word today, it gave me just a little more strength to hold on..
