When she started crying, the women looked at me with a face saying, 'Aren't you going to apologize?', whilst the men were all stone-faced, as was I. I said, 'Would you like to step outside whilst I finish my comments?', she turned on a dime, and started berating me. When she ran out of steam, I simply said, 'I don't think I need to say anything more. You've seen how she reacts. She does the exact same thing with our team'. Most nod in agreement, and she knew she f**ked up. She tried to talk her way out of it, but the manager calmly shut her down and closed the meeting. I had the foresight to record immediately after the meeting (one-party state, so legal). What I recorded buried her career with the company when I played it in the follow-up meeting the next day. Childish b***h!

I grew up and realized what a predatory environment it can be and now I'm grateful for the process. Divorcing someone that was married this way means you are going to have to explain these things to your parents, uncles, aunts, and grandparents. I think people are much more likely to show some sort of responsibility or integrity in that situation. As a side note, arranged marriages aren't certain, your family arranges a meeting, and if you don't like the other person, you don't have to marry them. They just make sure they vet the people you meet so that these things can be done properly without the extra drama.

He paid her enough alomony to have a paid off townhouse and shes never had a job ever. They were upper middle class, but pop worked his ASS off to get them there. He tried to stop paying her like 15 years ago, and she took him to court. In the divorce there was no ending date for alimony payments. Pop is now retired for 4 years and stopped paying recently. She tried to take him back to court to make him pay her again and court said ya..... no.

I just turned 40 and am a single male virgin Christian man, 6"2, bald but ok looking (I think), well travelled, level headed, sociable. It's been 8 years since I was properly with someone and that only lasted a few months and the time before that I was in an abusive relationship for a year going back 10 years ago now. I can't believe it's been this long since I was with someone and I'm rapidly thinking it is over for me. What's more is your confidence takes a huge knock and you convince yourself that something must be wrong with you. In my case, it could be the brown skin or the baldness or perhaps I just don't have enough going for me. Women's expectations are so high now that you can't just be an average man. I used to regularly date but even that isn't happening much anymore. I do think I'm not meeting enough women on a regular basis, so the only way I "meet" women are through dating apps. I still seem to get matches but it goes nowhere. They usually just disappear. I rarely even meet someone I want to pursue. The few I do aren't into me and the ones that are, I'm not into. I keep praying and seeking God over this but there still appears to be no progress or hope and as a result, it's no surprise I've ended up in a rut of bitterness. Worse still I don't want to descend into hating women. It may not be too late to meet someone but with age my options are limited and time is running out. I am worried about being left on the shelf and being alone for the rest of my life and dying alone and just ending my life as a bitter old man. My parents are getting older and eventually I will have no one around me.

Divorce for men is horrendous. My gram and pop got divorced when i was 1 and they were in their early 50s, he paid her alimony until last year.... im now 32 and gram is in her 80s. He paid her enough alomony to have a paid off townhouse and shes never had a job ever. They were upper middle class, but pop worked his ASS off to get them there. He tried to stop paying her like 15 years ago, and she took him to court. In the divorce there was no ending date for alimony payments. Pop is now retired for 4 years and stopped paying recently. She tried to take him back to court to make him pay her again and court said ya..... no.

I just turned 40 and am a single male virgin Christian man, 6"2, bald but ok looking (I think), well travelled, level headed, sociable. It's been 8 years since I was properly with someone and that only lasted a few months and the time before that I was in an abusive relationship for a year going back 10 years ago now.
I can't believe it's been this long since I was with someone and I'm rapidly thinking it is over for me. What's more is your confidence takes a huge knock and you convince yourself that something must be wrong with you. In my case, it could be the brown skin or the baldness or perhaps I just don't have enough going for me. Women's expectations are so high now that you can't just be an average man.
I used to regularly date but even that isn't happening much anymore. I do think I'm not meeting enough women on a regular basis, so the only way I "meet" women are through dating apps. I still seem to get matches but it goes nowhere. They usually just disappear. I rarely even meet someone I want to pursue. The few I do aren't into me and the ones that are, I'm not into.
I keep praying and seeking God over this but there still appears to be no progress or hope and as a result, it's no surprise I've ended up in a rut of bitterness. Worse still I don't want to descend into hating women.
It may not be too late to meet someone but with age my options are limited and time is running out. I am worried about being left on the shelf and being alone for the rest of my life and dying alone and just ending my life as a bitter old man. My parents are getting older and eventually I will have no one around me.

Don’t cohabitate just having them live with you for 6 months is enough for common law and legal divorce in some states. It sounds like you’ve got a realistic understanding of your situation. At this point all of the good girls are taken or likely come with some sort of baggage such as divorce, kids, etc. The women that you’ve dated, were they also virgins too at around 40 years of age?
I’m sure you have friends that are married, right? What advice do they have as they’ll understand your situation a lot better? You just need to keep putting yourself out there. Join singles groups, specifically through your church, to find someone that has common interest.
