Thank you for taking the time to try and play these games and compiling and sharing your thoughts. I appreciate the contributions from so many people that help keep this hobby going!
Hello, thanks for saying that. It's tough to squeeze all the plays into my schedule and film this stuff but I do truly love solo gaming. I also love people like you that keep my engine going.
My favorite solo content creators in no particular order: you, Beyond Solitaire, and appreciate when The Broken Meeple talks about the solo mode in reviews and when Gaming Rules does tutorials/playthrough of solo modes.
Love King of Average and his campaign against crowdfunding scammers. Most boardgame content creators avoid controversy, which is the easy thing to do. I admire him and Liege of Games for their honesty and integrity. Also like BoardGameCo and BoardGameBollocks.
I watch all of them. I think most people are being honest, they just want to cover the good stuff and the people you stated cover ALL stuff good bad or ugly. Both sides are honest
My favourite solo Stonamaier game: Rolling Realms. It's so quick, replayable and easy to pull out! There is also a new solo campaign to spice things up! Favourite solo content creators: 1- You my friend! Enjoy how it feels like you are sitting across the table and talking to us! And, giving your what seems like your unbiased opinion! Video production is also great! 2-JohnRuffa: Straight to the point playthrough and reviews. Frequently the first to put solo content about newly released games. 3-Tabletop for one: Daniel is really invested in creating new content and showing all types of games (many of which never heard of). 4-I also really enjoy One Stop Coop Shop although they are not covering only solo stuff! I am really spoiled by all the amazing solo content! Thanks!!!
Oh buddy, I tell you exactly how I feel. My game group knows what I like and what's gotta go asap! I also want you to know this too, this is the reason for this show and to engage with the community I love the most. I gotta check out John Ruffa.
Favorite stonemeier game is expeditions. Really enjoy the action selection mechanism along with the card play. Those together make it compelling and interesting each play. Favortie channels for solo: One stop co-op shop, love the five in five reviews. The down and dirty that gets me good information in just 5 minutes. Not bored gaming, just enjoy his ideas. Usually too long on the video overall but that is what 1.5 speed is for. That's all. Don't really have any other go tos for solo videos at this point. The dice tower video is the best. Glad you are having some reflection time with it lately. I just love that video.
Essen was wild. It was our third one and certainly our best. I would have loved to meet you but despite being there for three days I only saw a few content creators like the DT, Stephen Buonocore, Paul Grogan. I also saw Friedemann Friese (can’t miss him), Ignacy Trzewiczek and Reiner Knizia, but I saw pictures of many more designers I missed. What made it good for us was that we knew what to expect, not be disappointed by a game selling out, be on the hunt for these games from smaller non European publishers which might not hit retail, wander the RPG hall and generally take our time and enjoy the fair. We are thoroughly hooked on Essen Spiel, so the hotel for next year is already booked. It is our game holiday. Top three solo content creators: Jeremy you are at number three. I like how you take time and speak to the community. You are having a conversation. Second: Mike Delisio. Funny and honest about his opinion on games. My number one: Liz Davidson. Love her to bits. She has a great presentation style and a great voice to listen to.
We have so many great content creators and I love hearing about a diverse range of them. Especially because we don't all cover the same TYPE of solo games.
Oh, my friend owns a TM Dice and he told us that when you spend a dice you could choose the side of another die... never reroll. I actually liked it that way as it really allowed to mitigate the luck of the roll. I actually prefer it over the card game and of course less than the OG! Thanks for all your excellent solo content!
I like The Grouchy Nerd (yo, seriously, this dude is HILARIOUS and he needs the exposure if you can help out. He does mostly Marvel Champions reviewing, but also other solo stuff, but more importantly ONLY solo stuff). I also like Shaggy with TotalyTabled, high quality production, very good voice over.
Agreed 100% on King of Average. One Stop Co-Op Shop is definitely my favorite; play throughs and the 5 minute reviews are always fantastic. I think Tapestry is my favorite Stonemaier game. Every time I play it I am impressed with how much it does with such a simple premise; pay resources to move up a track, and get rewards for it.
I dig Expeditions solo, and it fits a narrow niche in my game library perfectly. That niche is: beautiful, evocative art (even though I no longer own Scythe.) Smooth AI that engages me without a ton of overhead. Quick setup, play time, teardown. Clever moments that are rewarded. Integration with theme: I argue that the nuance comes through via card abilities, worker types, and how cards transform in use. A caveat: I'm one of those chaps that likes Tapestry (and its solo AI is similarly fun for me.) Also, thank you for doing an overview on Apiary. It's intriguing, and your solo take is very helpful! My top 3 favorite solo content creators in no particular order: obviously you, Jeremy. Richard Wilkins/Ricky Royal. Ready Steady Play (when Mike is doing solo stuff, naturally.) More mentions: One Stop Co-op Shop (started locally here in Minneapolis/St. Paul!) Dungeon Dive. Not Bored Gaming.
Expeditions surprised me. I like a quick setup and quick Ai. Apairy is no different in this sense. They both excel at letting you feel smart, challenged, and still fun.
Ok favorite Stonemaier is Wingspan, mainly due to theme, I love the birds and I do enjoy the game play as well. Content. One stop coop, dungeon dive, rolling solo and I do also enjoy Liege and King even if I don't always agree with them
My favourite Stonemier game would be Tapestry or Scythe, both allow me as a solo player to add more than one opponent which really boosts the games appeal. Solo content creatures I follow are many but 3 are: Gaming Rules - Has shown and taught so many solo games which I would never have been able to learn on my own. Board Games for One - Does things slightly differently and is just finishing up an incredible playthrough of 'This War of Mine' everyone should check out A Warm Awful Feeling - Very new but just starting to do great KDM coverage
Dang it. Missed you again. I had you down for Friday based on a previous reply. Is it Sunday now? What time, please? I don't want to miss. I really like your content!
I most enjoy Colin’s playthroughs on One Stop Co-op Shop. but I believe he’s moved on to Bairnt’s channel. I also like Mike’s stuff. Slickerdrips is also great. though I most enjoy his 2-player playthroughs rather than the livestreams. Jenna on Boardgame Garden is also fun. I don’t think I have a favorite Stonemaier game although I own 3 of them because others in my life like them - Viticulture, Tapestry, and Wingspan. That said, I will be giving Expeditions a chance in spite of the over-large box and over-large tiles - the grandiose size feels arrogant on the designer/publisher’s part. There is no need for that.
I think they have some big plans for Expeditions and they actually have enough storage for it. The insert literally feels like it could support at least 2 or 3 expansions.
Honestly, it was Apiary cause I had zero interest coming in. If I was very vague.....this aint scripted so I was going with the flow and probably forgot. I will say Earthborne Rangers was a surprise homerun from a guy that can't stand LCG games.
Space Bees, y'all. Nuf said! 😆
Love Jenna from Boardgame Garden. Nice shout out!

Best solo play throughs are definitely ‘Totally Tabled’ ..excellent work
Good to know. I'm always looking to add to my roster.

John laruffa. Excellent content, as is yours. 👍 Similar content to your reviews here. Game play explanation followed by detailed opinions.

Your friend is right. you can spend a die to change another die to the result you want.

I have to check out grouchy nerd. thanks for the suggestion!

Thanks for the Dungeon Dive! Very informative channel that doesn't get mentioned enough.
Might have to check out Apiary now. Wanted to wait for more reviews but everyone has been positive so far
I suspect they will be because it's so easy to get into, but the strategy is there at all player counts.

A Warm Awful Feeling - Very new but just starting to do great KDM coverage
A warm awful feeling is getting added to my list!
Tapestry is my favorite SM game because of the combos and asymmetry.
Excluding you who’s #1
Gaming Rules
One stop co-op shop
Box of Delights
Thank you thank you!
Definitly Scythe. I searched whole europ to complete and upgrade th game. For older game i would suggest Le Havre. One of my old time favourites.
My first game by them. Loved it for a long time.
Dang it. Missed you again. I had you down for Friday based on a previous reply. Is it Sunday now? What time, please? I don't want to miss. I really like your content!
I'm basically trying to keep a schedule and sucking at it! lol I love and appreciate your loyalty
@@meeple 🤣... baby steps 🥰
I’d love to hang out someday! I’m working on a cool setup to shoot solo game on my game channel.
Just do it...don't wait!

Scythe is my favourite but it's about a 7/8 out 10
I have a love and leave relationship with Scythe and Viticulture, but I know they are highly regarded games. You shared some great content creators!
Have you played dwellings of eldervale solo? I love it so much
GOTY 3 years ago i believe??
@@meeple oh idk 😅. The 3rd printing had only just delivered
You dropped the sleeper hit of Essen but I did not catch the name of it.
Honestly, it was Apiary cause I had zero interest coming in. If I was very vague.....this aint scripted so I was going with the flow and probably forgot. I will say Earthborne Rangers was a surprise homerun from a guy that can't stand LCG games.
thanks, you always have interesting discussions. I don't really get gripped of the theme of Apiariy But it had factions that interested me. @@meeple
Please check out these three solo creators, they are so good!
Totally Tabled
Purple Moose Plays
Slickerdrips
All great
