Great videos Johnny. Just a comment FFS get a good voltage tester as we want to carry on seeing you. That water heater was an abortion bodged up, no rubber grommets, earth terminal not tight enough or adequate, not seen you replace it with new one yet but know yours will be better fitted. Just get a good voltage tester and voltage proofed. Take care John
Looking good John.. Nice way to start off the new year . I am also a tool hound . Big believer in the right tool for the job. Thanks for sharing yours .. Glad you made room for your new booties .. LOL Another great tool.
I'd be cautious, check the nameplate rating and specs of the unit before installing it; some of them need a thhn rated wire to handle the amperage and heat... i'd say that house was a flip or a rehab and someone just slapped it together noticing all of the new work inside of the old structure for sure... i run into those houses constantly up here over the skyway bridge !!! If that thing burnt at the unit like that, I'd surely be checking that buss bar at the breaker in the panel...i do service upgrades all of the time finding burnt buss bars that are crisp... enjoy your videos man...
I bought one of those Hercules tool bags recently. I really like that thing. Not too big but still can hold all the tools you need. It’s almost perfect
At my old house I had an EcoSmart 27 KW tankless water heater. The inside guts look very similar to the unit John was working on in another video. I suspect these units are built in the same factory. This unit called for (3) 40amp 2pole breakers. I was overall very satisfied with this system. The first unit was defective and for some unknown reason kept destroying the water flow sensor. The internal turbine wheel and magnets would shatter apart. EcoSmart support was great, they overnighted replacement parts each time. They ended up sending me a whole new Eco 27 unit after the third time and I never had another issue. Overall, we were able to run two showers at the same time or run a shower and the dishwasher. Sometimes if I ran a shower and the washing machine (when the outside temp was below 30deg.), the shower would feel luke warm to almost cold. If running (1) shower you pretty much have endless hot water. I hope this info helps someone
I need to do that to my truck. I work out of a Toyota pickup. It doesn't take much to get it disorganized . I do have a cap which keeps things dry. I don't need a lot of space. I did have a van but there was to much space to clutter up. Now it is to cold to work on the truck. Temps in the 20's and very windy here on the Cape

Yes the 18kW heater requires up to 76 amp draw. They use two 40 amp runs.

@@supermanjjm1982 Elkay screwdriver,you are correct 👌
Those Stanley 99's are old school and simple and last forever and the price is right. I grab an extra or get the 2-packs when on sale.
The van is looking good! Wish mine looked that good😃 every weekend I plan on cleaning it but something always comes up 😅
Nicely organized. Thanks for sharing.
Hey Johnny. You can take the sliding jaw on an adjustable wrench and file an additional notch on the end to open wider tech tip jackson
