I scored 195 on the 5355 Praxis. Your videos helped so much. Thank God I watched your videos with phonemic awareness and phonological awareness too. I was ready for those questions.
Awesome! Congratulations on passing your exam. 😊

@@KathleenJasperEdDdo you see the unofficial score after your test? And are the official score and unofficial score close

Thank you Kathleen! Your videos are so helpful. I know you do not have 5388 book but it would be so helpful if you could do some videos like this one to talk about giftedness and some other topics not covered in 5354, 5355 and other Special Ed books you have.
Unfortunately, we do not have a program for that exam. But this playlist will help you navigate any teacher certification exam, so definitely check it out.

I scored 172 in 5355 for the first time taking it. Your review and techniques were very helpful especially the watch out words that's weak and can be eliminated right away. That saves my time. Thank you. Now I want to try to take OAE 043, because they won't accept Praxis in Ohio. Please give me some of your ideas/insights in this test.Although they are almost the same. Thank you.
Excellent! You should come to my free Special Education webinar this weekend. The OAE 043 and the Praxis 5355 are very similar. Even if you can't attend live, you can watch the replay. Here is how you sign up to get the resources. Thanks for watching! kathleenjasper.com/pages/landing-free-praxis-special-education-5354-5543-5355-webinar-study-guides-and-practice-tests
Was your official score and unofficial score similar?
Does anybody know if you see the unofficial score after the test the same day and how far is the unofficial score from the final report
You usually get your unofficial score on test day unless your test has a constructed response (writing) portion. The 5355 does not have a constructed response. So you should see your score after you finish your exam on the computer. Sometimes they do not show the score if they are going to look over your exam for some reason. There’s no reason to worry if they don’t show you the score right away. Sometimes they just hold unofficial scores. But most of the time they show your unofficial score right after you submit. Your unofficial score usually reflects your official score. However there are times when the official score will be different from what you saw on the computer, but that is rare. You will get your official scores in an email with a score report. Hope that helps, and thanks for watching.
Thanks!

Hi! My name is Bryan. I just passed the 5511 yesterday and am now focusing on the 5355. My plan is to take and hopefully pass this test over Christmas break, so roughly about 3 - 4 weeks from now. What is the best way to study for this? I have the 5355 book so I will read through that. However, what else should I do? Should I watch the videos, and if so, which ones? Thanks for all you do to help us prepare.
Hi Bryan. We recommend short, incremental practice rather than cramming all of your studying into one or two weekends. We believe 20-30-minute study sessions over a 1-2 week period for each subtest is ideal. That means it will take you anywhere from 4-6 weeks in total to study for this exam. Good luck!

I’m confused. Which one works well for the ftce ese exam? Do I need to buy the three books
Thank you for your interest in our products and services. We do not provide test preparation for the FTCE. We focus on the praxis exams. There are many similarities among teacher certification exams regardless of state. However, our materials are aligned with the ETS exam blueprints and test specifications for the Praxis exams.

I bought the wrong book 5543
For this test. Will 5543 book help me with this test?

I noticed that you said at 8:11 "confined to a wheelchair" which is an interesting choice of language. I would consider this language to be part of the deficit-first model of thinking or language which you mentioned needing to avoid. I think, and I could be wrong, that the more appropriate term today would be "wheelchair-user".
Hi there. Thank you for watching and for your thoughtful feedback. 😊
