No matter how much time has elapsed, no matter what new movies I've watched, no matter how my taste has evolved, Tim Burton has been and always will be my favorite filmmaker.
she looks like she's the celebrity, making eye contact and speaking normally. he is just being himself, laid back relaxed, tired and just speaking his mind, we need more celebs like him
Tim Burton is my biggest inspiration. Hes a genius and so innovative. Everyone has taken inspiration from him, whether film makers, musicians, or painters. he is multifaceted and talented in each field he works.
I just love how he makes every movie. It's kind of ridiculous that people think that he always does the same, since he is one of the most diverse directors I have ever seen and everything he does it's just great. I would love to see how his house is and of course be an actress of one of his movies or maybe just record my voice in one of his stop motion movies. He is definitely an idol!
+Marcia Pze I see where your coming from but I think the main reason why people say he always does the same is because of the fact that he is an Auteur, people are notice the similarities in him films because of how recognisable his film are. Its like people can watch one of his films and know instantly that he directed it because of distinct elements. I love his films and would love to meet him someday or even be able to film one of his film (studying film) :)
his house better look like the houses in Alice and Wonderland. like hatter's house or something unreasonable like that. lol I would love to see it. being an actor in his movie must be one of the best artistic feelings period
Mohammad Almasri Me too! I want to see it! Besides he sketches pretty well! I would love to see all his paintings and all! What an experience! I agree with your comment about being an actress in one of his films!
I wasn't a fan of Mars Attacks and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory nor even his 2001 reimagining of Planet of the Apes but overall I'm a huge Burton fan and he's one of my influences and heroes
Tim Burton is a filmmaking genius! He's my idol, and I would love to become a director like him one day. Although I could never come close to how fantastic he is!
One of the best directors of all time! Yes, he did make some bad ass films but sweeney Todd, Sleepy Hollow, Ed Wood, Big Fish, Edward Scissorhands and Corpse Bride are some amazing movies. 🔥🙏
My favorite Tim Burton films are: Beetlejuice, Batman, Edward Scissorhands, Batman Returns, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Ed Wood, Sleepy Hollow, Big Fish and Frankenweenie.
I love Tim Burton films I love them to death and if I ever see him in person I would cry and pass out I would tell him as a big fan that I never stop watching his films and do his beloved characters in drawings☺☺☺he is my true idol
Mr. Burton, I have so much more respect for you know. He's by far by favorite director. My favorites have to be "Sweeney Todd", "Ed Wood", and "Batman". As an aspiring filmmaker, "Ed Wood" really got to me. I like to jokes you threw in there that only the filmmakers would get.
I just wish he'd make a movie on an Andersen's fairy tale like, the story of a mother or the red shoes or something else. He's one of my favourite directors along with Almodovar and del Torro.
Tim Burton is my idol. I've watched him since i was 2. my first movie was the nightmare b4 christmas; i watched it pretty much everyday, when I'm older, i wanna be a director like him make his type of movies and stop motion. i used to HATE bull terriers... but because of frankenweenie, they're now my favourite animal. i spend most of my time after school, on the computer watching vids or playing games. after that, i get ready for bed and work on my stories. some are comics, some are horrors. i, myself had made creatures.. i will be posting my stories on my channel soon.. everyone in my school knows how much i adore him. lots of ppl try and annoy me but, even though they're my friends, they do it for fun and i do too. they tell me " tim burton is quitting!" and stuff.. but of course i don't believe dat :T almost every year I've been a tim burton character for halloween.. when i was 4, i was sally from nightmareb4christmas, 5, Emily from corps bride, 9. ( at school- Elsa. from frankenweenie, then edward sicssor hands and beetle juice. that basically is everything ya'll need to know ( i think a bit too much o.o SORREH XD )
Great director, he has a great vision for art,he was the perfect director for batman @ the time, he made the comic book batman into live action with gothic style added to it, his batman was way better than Schumachers,Schumacher took Tim burtons work & made it cartoonish & very campy, when Nolan came batman was done right & real. It would be awesome if burton & Nolan had an interview together talking about batman.
my mother met him,she didn't know it was him,and thought whose they creepy guy. After he left she turned to this lady and said who,was that Guy? she told him it was Burton, she was shocked.
I'm the only one I'm my class that watches scary movies.. well, scary scary movies and I'm also the best scary story teller ( or so told by my friends and family ) :D
This one's pretty good compared to the Scorsese episode. In that one, every 20 seconds there's an annoying, distracting, awful, out of focus shot. It'll move away from him then become another moving shot that makes it look like he's talking to himself. Ridiculous.
Just a tip for future things like this, try not using such "artsy" camera work, it was very distracting, i found myself many times having to stop and back the video up a few seconds because i had missed something being said. some of the angles were great , just don't think this is the right setting, seeing as it is a video where i am strictly here to hear what is being said.
He looks like he is on speed. He barely maintains eye contact. The audience looks disengaged. Burton looks like he rather be anywhere but doing the interview.
the angle work etc. is creative and unique and would make for a pretty rear goth music video or something, but doesn't make for an effective biopic/documentary/interview show AT ALL, tis too experimental and distracts from the content
No matter how much time has elapsed, no matter what new movies I've watched, no matter how my taste has evolved, Tim Burton has been and always will be my favorite filmmaker.
Same
i guess it is kinda off topic but does anyone know of a good site to watch newly released series online ?
@Brooks Legend Lately I have been using Flixzone. Just search on google for it :)
@Edwin Immanuel definitely, I have been using flixzone for since april myself :)
@Edwin Immanuel thanks, signed up and it seems like a nice service :D I really appreciate it !!
Tim should've directed this interview.
she looks like she's the celebrity, making eye contact and speaking normally. he is just being himself, laid back relaxed, tired and just speaking his mind, we need more celebs like him
Tim Burton is that kind of Filmmakers we need more
Tim Burton is my biggest inspiration. Hes a genius and so innovative. Everyone has taken inspiration from him, whether film makers, musicians, or painters. he is multifaceted and talented in each field he works.
How cool would it be, to just sit back and watch all the classic horrors with Tim. That's on my bucket list, for sure.
Tim Burton has an amazing beautiful mind, i think he deserves a lot more credit, a lot more.
I just love how he makes every movie. It's kind of ridiculous that people think that he always does the same, since he is one of the most diverse directors I have ever seen and everything he does it's just great. DragonLuver1579 oh good luck! I really hope you do! He's awesome!
Marcia Pze He is!! one of my favourtie directors of all time!! and Thanks :))
his house better look like the houses in Alice and Wonderland. like hatter's house or something unreasonable like that. lol I would love to see it. being an actor in his movie must be one of the best artistic feelings period
Mohammad Almasri Me too! I want to see it! Besides he sketches pretty well! I would love to see all his paintings and all! What an experience! I agree with your comment about being an actress in one of his films!
Tim Burton is a genius, i love the feel of all his movies.
As someone who loves to draw and wants to work for Disney, he is a big inspiration to me.
I love Tim Burton! :)
My idol I love how dark his movies are
Tim Burton films are the best films:)
I love his films! I haven't seen one I didn't like.
I wasn't a fan of Mars Attacks and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory nor even his 2001 reimagining of Planet of the Apes but overall I'm a huge Burton fan and he's one of my influences and heroes
W
Tim Burton is one of my biggest influences of becoming a filmmaker. In fact, I'm actually a aspiring filmmaker.
Tim Burton is a filmmaking genius! He's my idol, and I would love to become a director like him one day. Although I could never come close to how fantastic he is!
How is it now
One of the best directors of all time! Yes, he did make some bad ass films but sweeney Todd, Sleepy Hollow, Ed Wood, Big Fish, Edward Scissorhands and Corpse Bride are some amazing movies. 🔥🙏
I hope he continues his work for many years to come. There awesome
I love how he always uses his hands to be articulate I do the same when I talk about either my films or other ones
Happy Birthday to this incredible director! I'm still waiting for that Big Eyes trailer
Tim Burton is the best
My favorite Tim Burton films are: Beetlejuice, Batman, Edward Scissorhands, Batman Returns, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Ed Wood, Sleepy Hollow, Big Fish and Frankenweenie.
You forgot mars attacks.
Well, personally, I did not like Mars Attacks, which is my least favorite Burton film tied with Charlie and the chocolate factory.
I did not like that one also, my other least fav is Alice in Wonderland.
I mean cast of mars attack remake can continue.
Cinephile a.k.a movie buff What about Vincent? that is a classic
Bless Tim Burton for wonderful movies !!
Tim did his hair very nicely for the interview xD
Tim Burton is the best director of all times
I loved his direction of 'Sleepy Hollow'. Fantastic film.
Me too
Never seen so many camera angles and compositions for an interview.
Tim Burton is awesome!
Great interview. Thanks for the upload.
I love Tim Burton films I love them to death and if I ever see him in person I would cry and pass out I would tell him as a big fan that I never stop watching his films and do his beloved characters in drawings☺☺☺he is my true idol
13:02 Oh, dang, I was really getting into the scene.
Mr. Burton,
I have so much more respect for you know. He's by far by favorite director. My favorites have to be "Sweeney Todd", "Ed Wood", and "Batman". As an aspiring filmmaker, "Ed Wood" really got to me. I like to jokes you threw in there that only the filmmakers would get.

how old are you now?
"Vincent" creeped the heck out of me, lost sleep because of it infact. Tim...you've done your job. (claps)
Im such a big fan of tim burton
He had such great films
Agreed....the camera angles are distracting and stupid
Great director, he has a great vision for art,he was the perfect director for batman @ the time, he made the comic book batman into live action with gothic style added to it, his batman was way better than Schumachers,Schumacher took Tim burtons work & made it cartoonish & very campy, when Nolan came batman was done right & real. My hero
whoever was constantly coughing needed to step out
I used to do the same thing even small town theater cheap theater night, with all of animation & comedy during intermissions Haha
My idol
He sounds so nervous it makes me nervous o.o XD
I can barely keep focus because the filming of this interview is just awful.
My favorite Tim Burton movie is Alice in wonderland and it is so funking awesome and amazing and funny and I Love johnny Depp growing up ❤
Who is the sound engineer? What an obnoxious weave of music blasting above the vocal volume baseline.
I walked right passed him paris without recognizing him, my friend had to literally point him out me lol
my mother met him,she didn't know it was him,and thought whose they creepy guy. After he left she turned to this lady and said who,was that Guy? she told him it was Burton, she was shocked.
How was he creepy? Like the way he looks or did he do something odd? Lol
Tim Burton should of directed The BFG.
Zarahi Moon should have/ should’ve*
Tim Burton needs to return to Gotham City. Get Michael Keaton as old Bruce Wayne in Batman Beyond movie.
I guess the cameraman was trying to show off his "directing skills" to Burton.
27:07 who the fuck shot this? Uwe boll?? Fire him!
+Dizzy Blu Trainee lol
How does he keep his hair like that?
I'm the only one I'm my class that watches scary movies.. well, scary scary movies and I'm also the best scary story teller ( or so told by my friends and family ) :D
Great Interview, but the sound mixing could've been done better, most of the inserts are SO LOUD.
Mister Burton, you little cheater! I wish I could just make a short film and get an A :)
7:25 what the fuck is that? Even if I wasn't a film student I would be able to say that, that shot is horrible and pointless.
27:07 Terrible!
Lmao so bad
This one's pretty good compared to the Scorsese episode. In that one, every 20 seconds there's an annoying, distracting, awful, out of focus shot. It'll move away from him then become another moving shot that makes it look like he's talking to himself. Ridiculous.
His face got really red for a while, was he okay?!
most likely nervous
this was shot terribly
may I kiss u?
GOKU__WAS__HERE productions go away you freak
GOKU__WAS__HERE productions weirdo.
tim burton is too hot x
I thought this was a great interview. I wish he had done an episode of Inside the Actor's Studio.
He has shiny black eyes.
INFP ((:

"you know"

27:05 Someone please rip off the cameraman's & editor's arms. Killin me with that ridiculous closeup.
This guy made mars attacks the name is tim Burton.
He looks like a crazy version of nicholas cage anr nicholas cage already looks like a crazy version of nicholas cage, so yep.
Really? Coughing during his interview? Rude as hell
THERE ARE 2 TIM BURTONS
he is a really scary guy
so vegan.
Fire your technical director. Their choices in shooting this are obnoxious and distracting from the conversation.
He needs a haircut
I wish he stopped after Ed Wood...
I almost agree with you...I really love Sleepy Hollow and Big Fish, though. The rest I could do without.
I think there's hope, he's doing "Big Eyes" now, which looks neat - and it's written by Ed Wood writers S.Alexander and L. Karaszewski.
Craig Duffy Corpse Bride and Sweeny Todd were pretty good.
Timo That is hopeful.
