I agree too. When you find The One, you'll know it. But it costs so much to find The One.

      Indeed it does!

I've come to the same conclusion over a LOT of gear purchases. I recently bought a 1966 Super Reverb and realised that I only need a couple of pedals and I'm done. It sounds great with every type of guitar and pickup. No more tweaking!

Absolutely man. I had a 67. Man… unique sound. Amazing amp. One of the best ever for that big bold blackface tone!

Good call Fede. As you know I sold all pedals to do just this. To get the best amp I could get. It’s made me a better player and my practice time more focused. Always appreciate your help

Agreed man! You are a clear example that it’s worth it! A good amp is so important. Thanks for commenting man, as always 🙏

I came to the same conclusion after buying and selling many amps over my journey. We all start with a Line 6 Spyder or a Katana or some crappy practice amp with an 8 inch speaker. At the very beginning, we're limited by our playing skills. As we improve as a musician, the amp itself becomes limiting, and part of our growth is that we come to realize that. The amp that I finally found and now and can't stop playing is an 80's Peavey Encore 65. It has exactly the sound that I want. It's not a common or particularly popular amp, and before I got this amp in a trade, I had no idea that it would be *the one*. Had I known this 12 years ago, I could have saved a lot of time and money. But maybe that's the way it is. We have to try on a bunch of suits until we find the one that fits us really well and there are no shortcuts.

Indeed, that’s how it works! Glad you found your amp!

The big issue is when you find "that amp" and it costs more than you'll ever be able to save money to buy. There begins the process of compromising what you really like and want and what you can afford.
