Shizuka's facial expressions when consuming spicy food is SO different from any other video she has done. So funny and entertaining! Having the producer trying the spicy noodles was a good feature. Maybe Shizuka should have had a guest which would maybe have been more entertaining. Great video! Hope to try these spicy dishes one day! I look forward to the next video!
Saw this from your IG stories months ago. Did not realize it takes that long from production to uploading! Definitely going to Kikanbo later this year when we visit Tokyo again!
I sincerely appreciate how much you and your team do to share the amazing diversity of foods found in Japan. Thank you - It must makes me love Japan that much more.
i can confirm kikanbo ramen is tremendously insane, but sooooo delicious. 10/10 recommend! they have non spicy versions and mild versions too! but holy pork the meat is SO TENDER!
I will definitely be visiting these places when I visit Japan in the fall! Thank you for visiting and filming these restaurants as well, I love spicy food hehe
That was a fun video. I must say Shizuka, you took the spice like a real champ and you kept coming back for more. You are definitely more braver than I.
Thank you very much for your posting☺ Kikanbo is the famous spicy ramen shop(Kara=からい・Shibi=しびれ)🍜 Taiwan Ramen is also a spicy ramen which is originated by Taiwanese chef of Misen (味仙) in Nagoya🍜
How could you possibly harm this wonderful host?? She’s irreplaceable! Haha…great vid. I can’t believe Shizuka has such a high tolerance to spice…not me. 😂 Love the red chile outfit she wore at the end too! 🔥
I know this sounds strange, but the trick to eating spicy food is to keep going and not stop. Once you stop, the spiciness will really hit and hurt, but if you keep eating, it helps to dull the pain.
I have to try that Ebisu Fire Garden place. I grow my own Carolina Reaper peppers and using them in my salads. Very underappreciated pepper. Love the flavour of it!
Awesome food adventure. I like how during the 2nd part she tasted without the rice, and I knew immediately that would sting more, and she confirmed lol. Then the 3rd part while eating the noodles after the first bite, she habitually pushed away the plate. 😂 I can feel it.
looks like you handle spice very well. The problem with milk is, it will help your mouth but not your stomach. Same with ice. The only thing which helps really is turmeric. I didn't try it myself but i read it. cool video btw!
Wow, that was amazing you were able to eat those spicy dishes Shizuka! I should be calling you Supergirl! There is absolutely no way I can eat those dishes. Great video Shizuka and omedetou to you and your crew!
@@JapanbyFood I don't know if Shizuka did..so I wasn't LOLing at her misfortune. But the fact I didn't know what was gonna happen was interesting. And she handled it with grace and hilarity.
I can also recommend Giljotin in Osaka for spice lovers, they dont use Reaper but fresh Jolokia which sure packs a punch. spiciest dish i had in my life so far, Kikanbou omni level isnt that bad in my opinion. I really wanna try Fire Garden next time im in Tokyo that looked so good!
I am definitely impressed by you. Very few woman would survive those meals. I use Carolina Reapers in many dishes. Especially, mapo tofu. I also combine them with Thai peppers and Trinidad Scorpions for a range of flavors. Once I finally get to Japan I may just wind up living in those restaurants!
I hope you guys have a pepcid ac equivalent in Japan. Really helps to take that before spice challenge so your stomach isn't a wreck. Nothing is gonna save you from the aftermath though.
You should compare the spiciness with Indonesian food. There are several Indonesian restaurant around Shibuya. Drinking warm water is the best remedy for spicy food
From my experience the fastest way to get rid of the spicy sensastion is to gargle with water or just spit. You should try it the next time you're in for another spicy food adventure
Wow! I was sweating just watching you eat! And worse part for me, I'm lactose intolerant, so if I drink milk to soothe the heat, there WILL be trouble! 😆😂
LOVE THIS EPISODE!!! Shizuka your personality really shined here enjoyed every minute of it 😀
Shizuka's spicy personality really brings out the best in this channel!
Yessss!
literally came to say just that lol. couldnt agree more.
She’s like a different personality in this video but I love it❤
Wow Shizuka, I can't believe you ate all three in one day... Kudos! Get this girl a medal 🥉!
It was not easy TT
I feel bad for the person who cleans your bathroom @@JapanbyFood
4:13 when Shizuka takes the glass I said to myself, it won't help. And that's exactly what she said 😂😂😂
It was futile....

Always love to watch Shizuka. She's entertaining while being so pleasant.

Shizuka you are a champion when it comes to spicy food and so is your team. I love spicy food but I like flavor with it.
Surprisingly, there was still a lot of flavor despite the heaps of spice:)
i can confirm kikanbo ramen is tremendously insane, but sooooo delicious. 10/10 recommend! they have non spicy versions and mild versions too! but holy pork the meat is SO TENDER!
Isn't it just so delicious!? the softest juiciest pork ever!
agreed, allready eaten there twice and im very likely to be eating there again on one of my trips, the Ramen there is so good
Thank you, Shizuka, for your commitment!
Cheers!

We hope you will enjoy!
I bought that exact same hot sauce brand (seen in 15:05) when we visited Tokyo a year ago. It’s really spicy, but also very tasty as well!
Glad to hear that!
The Fire Garden Restaurant looks so cool. Black and red combined with the fire/chili theme is just perfect. I love spicy food🔥🌶️
Awesome personality and she is so.damn. Fiiiine

Shizzy, you’re such a trooper! Kudos on having three spicy dishes in a day!

I really enjoyed this! Thanks for this!
Very enjoyable. I love how Shizuka didn't shy away from the heat...and now I can't wait to get back to Tokyo.
She is strong!

Shizuka, you're such a beast for doing this!
Respect!
I am salivating and sweating just by watching this video:)
Shizuka costumed as a giant pepper just made my day
Oh, Shizuka! You crack me up! The way you explain the spiciness. 🤣
It is a skill!
This is good practice. Can't wait to see you on Hot Ones!
Definitely going to that mapo tofu place the next time I'm in Tokyo! Devil ramen is also tempting
You should!

That looks awesome. I've walked past this place a few times now and the line is always pretty long.

I think the 1st shop is where Mark Wiens went before.. Amazing she can handle the Spice.. Hope Sunny is watching! 😂😂
😂😂😂 I love sonny but he could never do this! Lol
Just the spicy powder on top of ramen looks insane, would like to try also!!!
It was real tough!

Truly amazed you could finish just the first bowl!!! Me Like!!!
You and me both!
Shizuka you're crazy!! 🤣 I like spicy but my nose would be running nonstop 😅
Love spicy food. Great job Shizuka. ❤
Thank you! It was a great challenge!
Holy smokes, that's one spicy video! Great teamwork finishing all the food! 🙌
This looks tempting to try. Was this the spiciest option on the menu you tried? I'd be open to try this at least once.
Hundred percent!
That was actually kind of freaky. Scary but fun (for viewers) adventure episode, and loved the chili suit sign-off.. ha ha!
Glad you had fun!

That ordering machine is the way to go. Japan is definitely living in the future 1:32
You can find those ordering machines all over the city!

@@JapanbyFood for some super cheap tantamen that was super nice, not that spicy just a nice tingle its Tabutchan right at dotinbori river
I want your job! 😂 exploring japan with foooood
Enjoying lots of yummy food here in Japan 🇯🇵
Interesting the spoon in the spice at 11:32 is an ANA airlines spoon 😅
Good catch!
Shizuka is one of the best thing that happened in my life.😊
all three in one day is final boss level work ethic for sure, well done indeed.
Wow! That last one looked painful. LoL! Great job Shizuka and team!
It was a tough one!
19:43 chili pepper Shizuka!

Watching this vlog made me a subscriber. I don't like "vinegary" spiced foods, as i'm allergic to it.
The food burns three times, the third time in the eyes of the sewer worker. 😄
lol! wise words!
Love your grey jacket, who makes it. It looks so cozy!
one of my favorite meals in tokyo was at afuri karenakatta (sp??) the spiciest yuzu ramen
Afuri is the champ!
All of the dishes look mouth-wateringly good. But which had the best flavour? I think that I would have to try all to decide.
Honestly, very hard to decide!
you two should definitely do more videos together. Anika (?) has a good vibe
Absolutely!

This is my first time watching your video and I say you should do a Hot Ones challenge

We did not have that :D

I'm really impressed by Shizuka's spice tolerance. She took it all in a day like a champ. Next day must have been rough.
'Blondie in china' would absolutely try these spicy meals!
I'm impressed by the amount of spice you can take, the food looks good too
impressed? she’s a demon in bed 🤫
We all are!
Wow that looks really spicy! Great job handling that Shizuka!✨
Thank you!
props to the video editor lol the ominous music!
it was scary!
i remember this store cuz i saw the video when Mark Wiens was there but that guy can take spice on a whole other level
He is a champ!
@@JapanbyFood But Shizuka is up on a good level too :)
That Ramen looked so spicy i was salivating just looking at the bowl.
The fact that Shizuka actually did this in one day is amazing. I'd probably need a bathroom break after each visit XD
It was a long shoot:D
I wanna try that kikanbo ramen & the mapo tofu I’m not sure if I can handle it
Do it on separate days:D
Your spice tolerance is next level.
good video shizzy! how did you feel after all this food after filming? lol hope it wasn't too bad!
It was not easy but she managed!

holy crap she takes the spice so calmly thats some hard core spice she put on the food what a brave woman :D
Tough one!
I can't handle spicy food. Looking at you eating the noodles I wanted to cry 😮I felt the heat.
It was rough!
Gotta say, she’s one tough chick. I’m impressed!!! Well done 🫶🫶🫶
yep, she’s very tough . I couldn’t last a sec in bed 🥵
For real!
12:43, haha it was funny witht he horror vibe introduction.
:P
As paris hilton would say, " That episode was hot!"
Oh yeah!
Tried two of these before 😊. Not as spicy as food from Indonesia, Thailand or Malaysia, but yes not to Japanese or western levels. 😂
:O We would not survive those
It’s usually the day after that’s really tough.. 🥵 kikanbo is my third home though!
Glad you got the black bowl 🍜
how many spices were there in it?
Wow! I was sweating just watching you eat! And worse part for me, I'm lactose intolerant, so if I drink milk to soothe the heat, there WILL be trouble! 😆😂
Ohhh, double trouble!
Oh man. Looks good. I’ll try it. ❤😂
Please do!
Y’all really starting Anika in the deep end 😂
She gonna learn fast!
3 spicy dishes in one day? Shizuka is gangsta.
c'mon she had to have 4 people to eat 1 small bowl at the end, nothing amazing -.-
What Country is Sancho from? I am not familiar
I'd be glad for the cold water setting on the bidets after this one.
:D
