Unfortunately I found that I couldn't get into that alum as much as their previous one... still good, just lacks a couple more great songs... kinda feels like they held back
I actually haven't heard the first album yet..haven't heard all of Parallel Lives either. .but I feel they have at least 3 very strong songs from it..Shiver..Empty Canvas..Habit..Also like the song Captive..not from either album I don't think..

why do people get so hyped on the exact same track coming from the exact same band. The chord progressions to the vocal range are exactly the same as everything this band has ever put out before. I guess we like to be in our comfort zones and never branch out from anything cause thats lame right...

Say if you came back to a song that you really liked and didn't know why, maybe there's something here to get hyped about but you are unconscious to it. This song definitely explores being captive, but in an interesting way that captivates. Emotively your comment is trying to characterize, (but maybe the band's just musing on it) which I consider a trap for a concept, a meme.(a lot of media is like this) Content wise, your comment, it's reticent, the lyrics in this song are anything but reticent, what are we missing? Maybe another question, do we want to be free?
