  • The Old Rauma UNESCO World Heritage Site is a fascinating spot in Finland. It's an old wooden town that grew up around a monastery, and although the monastery itself is long gone, Old Rauma is still here with many beautiful wooden buildings. It's one of those rare examples of a Nordic wooden village that has survived the centuries intact, and so the Old Rauma UNESCO World Heritage Site is definitely a worthy stop on the journey.

Born and raised. My roots and soul sit tight in Rauma while I'm living in Helsinki. Oh how I love you...
