When attacking a fort use your infantry to surround the fort It demoralizes the troops inside It causes the forces inside to defend all sides of the fort reducing the number of troops/cannon on any one side. Never launch an attack on a fort until you have reduced it and the forces by 1/2
i think you are able to change the muskets of the cannon crew by clicking on that musket button next to their name. i think that allows you to switch between the cannon and musket loadout
At the beginning of the video, you were talking about where the Canadian border was, along Lake Champlain, saying it was just north of Ft. St. Francis. It's actually just south of Ft. St. Jean (Ft St Johns), which was built by the French as a border guard against British/American attack on Montreal from the south. Both here in your game and in reality, it didn't do a particularly good job of that....
Just a note, it is called Mont-Real, not Mon-treal. Just like Mount Rushmore and not Moun-Trushmore. Also, Chamblee is pronounced shan-blay (the French "an", google translate is great for that and takes like 10 sec). 😊 Good game session and gains.
@@thehistoricalgamer ugh...okay,. thanks for the quick response...enjoy watching the series...12lbrs at St. John's is awesome!!! haven't gotten that yet, though it might be random I guess...
@@Titus_Vespasianusif you grab the force on the strategic map and the general as a group, and click where you want to go they usually move as an army and the general will usually move at the infantry units pace.
HG prepares to march into Canada at the beginning of November. And he still can't figure out why they call him Butcher.

You can use middle mouse to angle the strategic camera as well which makes it more useful in my opinion.

"Trois Rivieres" is pronounced more like "t'RAH ree-V'YAIR" (French pronunciation is difficult to give a direct English analogue to but that's close).
