    Great stuff! But it was "wave your stump if you want to go to bed" that really got me 🤣 Imagine 2 female Virgo's and 4 dogs in one rig, and yup hooks a plenty!! A must for leashes etc. Also love this T-shirt and keep 'em coming Chris! Cheers, Barret

      Thank you Barret! The vertical storage is the way to go! It's almost like a drivable closet at that point 😁 Do you get the icks at the thought of dirty leashes in the bed too or is that just me? No pressure on keeping up with the shirts 😉

    Love the mesh basket hack! I’m also a solo TD lady & love my trips, especially out west to our Rockies. I did a complete makeover of my 5x8. I’d love to share pics but can’t seem too. I took the idea from “ ‘Playing with Sticks’, Solo Woman TRANSFORMS camper into cosy retreat.” ( 8 months ago) New lined curtains, your hack ideas & I’m ready to go!

      Hi fellow traveller! 👋🏻 I’m glad that you found them helpful. I’ve watched that video too and so many great ideas. If you want to fire the pics to my email I’m always looking for more ideas. I’ve got a few more things to do to mine which I’ll share later. Teardrops and Rockies just go so well together and I’m hoping to get out there more this year.

    Thanks Kris for your video.
    I spent a year building my teardrop and took one 800 mile trip with my wife and beagle.
    I have been adding little hacks since getting back.
    In the galley I have a 3mm line stretched between the slam latches. It has a bar tensioner on the cordage for lowering and tightening the line (from Lawson outdoor equip company), I will use this ridgeline to hang things to dry or hang a temporary wall. I also have a way to attach a small temporary hammock made from monolite from ripstop by the roll. I have small holes drilled in slam latch rods and put split rings through the holes. Here with small carabiners I can clip on and off the hammock shelf. It serves as a shelf for air drying dishes or maybe to put things there when the counter gets too crowded.
    I am also going to bolt down climbing anchors on to trailer frame for tie off points for tarp etc. if your curious as to what they look like look on amazon under S.E.PEAK 25/30kN Stainless Steel Bolt Hanger.
    Good video keep up the good content 😊

      Thank you so much! I had to limit myself to 3 hacks otherwise I'd be talking for hours. With just the 3 dogs to bounce ideas off, they don't help much with planning ;)
      That sounds like a really neat setup in the galley. I've been thinking about something similar for the rear shelf inside the sleeping compartment to keep everything in place and you've given me some ideas.

      Hello, I bought a 2005 teardrop late last summer and was only able to make a few nearby trips out. I secured a tarp around her for the winter and really want to work on it, but Maine winters can be harsh. So… I have been watching teardrop videos. This makes me long to get started on the tips and hacks I’ve picked up on yours and others videos. I like how you give out 3 practical and doable tips. Thank you for sharing. Btw, I have 3 dogs as well.

    This was great! I just got my teardrop. I was van camping last year with my two pugs. I recently inherited two more. I would love to see some videos with you out camping with all your dogs and how you deal with everything that goes along with having several dogs in such a small space. I also was caught off guard that aluminum isn't magnetic. That's a bit of a pain. I have lots of those suction cup things I got off Amazon but have been hesitant to use them as I wasn't sure if they would cause any problem. I love your sense of humour! Mooning your neighbour's.😂

    • @adventuredawgs
      @adventuredawgs  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Ohhhhhh I so happy for you! What made you decide to go with a teardrop instead of a van? I’d love to get a van instead so I’m wondering what the trade offs are.
      Four pugs? What’s the snoring like? King and Leo both snore but Leo (the Boston terrier) can probably break sound limits.
      And your timing is impeccable since we are on a road trip right now and you’ve given me some good ideas. Keep them coming!
      The suction cups didn’t cause any damage. They did leave a little ring on the side but that’s because the teardrop needs a serious wash.
      If a panted mooning is the worst they get, I’m ok with that 🤣

      @@adventuredawgs Well I do camp in a minivan that has been made into a camper. I do like it and it will be great to have both the teardrop and the van. I can leave my fridge in the van and not have to sleep with food in the same place as I'm sleeping, which was a concern last year. I do love the van though. I actually bought the teardrop because I have wanted a trailer that would be able to fit me and the 4 pugs but I have never towed a trailer and have NEVER backed up a trailer. So I decided to go with the teardrop to learn how to do those things. I have found that towing is super easy with the teardrop so I'm pretty sure I can tow something a bit larger, something I can stand up in if I so desire in the future. As for backing up, that has been more of a challenge. I'm still learning. I'll be spending this week over at the mall again trying to learn to back up properly. I have heard that backing up a smaller trailer is actually harder so maybe learning with this is a good idea and if I do get something bigger it will be easier. I am trying to binge watch your videos and hope to see some talking about the struggles of camping with several dogs especially on your own with no partner to help out. I had 10 pugs at one time and boy there was a lot of snoring! The four I have right now aren't big snorers though. I can sleep through 10 pugs snoring but I can't sleep if there is one man snoring. LOL!

      @@adventuredawgs I would love if you would just tell us about your day dealing with 3 dogs in such a small space. How do you handle doing your business. LOL! Are you traveling in the teardrop? Where are you going? Do you sometimes stop and stay in a motel room for the night? How do you deal with meals, etc. I'd love to hear all about your travels with dogs. I'm sure lots of others would be very interested in how you deal with it as well.

    • @adventuredawgs
      @adventuredawgs  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@lifewithpugwinkle you are preaching to the choir with the man snoring.
      And the hamster in my brain skipped a few steps on the wheel. Ten pugs?!?!?
      I totally get where you’re coming from with the food. We were in bear country and I moved everything from the galley into the car just to be safe. Lilly was quite put out when I had to move her treats too.
      I have a great trick for backing up. I’ll post that video next as soon as we get back to civilization. And I had heard the same thing about backing small trailers. I know some folks who service them that will avoid backing at all costs because they think it’s a pain.
      My biggest focus when I’m towing is keeping the speed under control. My teardrop has never wobbled once even in bad winds so I must do something right when I pack it. But the thought of blowing those tires out has me white knuckling it, especially on the interstates when you realize what 80 miles is in kms.
