Great step. Kandi area of Samba waiting for so long for this canal , but as usual we have been used to these delayed projects. But now I feel after article 370 I can see clear development in my area , Every sector have progressed under UT govt. New expressways, New Huways, New industrial parks , new raillines , local roads , electricity. Everything have improved tremendously especially in rural areas.

Indian government is taking every possible way to counter drought and energy crisis, which is a tremendous work and deserve appreciation. But my concern is that a river is not just for hydro -e generation and irrigation/drinking, it also maintain a biodiversity around it, which is essential for not only human but also for all the living organism around it. So if the water of Ravi is stopped 100% in the Indian part, what will be its effect on the biodiversity and natural vegetation of lower riparian region?
Very few people are thinking about this but in this long term its our loss.
@@devangjain-1541 According to me every decision government take regarding natural resources, should be sustainable in nature, and shouldn't hamper the biodiversity in a extent that it couldn't revive itself.

It is a shame that India allowed the waters of Ravi, Sutleuj and Beas rivers flow into our enemy territory even after 75 years since partition. This is especially horrible when you think of people in Rajastan who does not have water to take even a bath.
