Glad to hear the tips helped. We originally thought that you could just build the structure and you would be good to go. We found out there was a bit more than that.

Caulking made such a big difference for my greenhouse. I didn't caulk the previous one. I bought a bigger one, caulked it and I can tell if I didn't, it would be too cold in winter. I don't have a fan yet (just the vent), but I do have a heater and it stays pretty warm in winter. Between 25-30 degrees warmer than outside. I put up shade cloths during summer.

Glad to hear the caulking made a big difference. We are looking forward to seeing those results this fall/winter too.

When insulating your floor make sure to allow for water drainage. Also especially for seedlings and small planets you need oscillating fans blowing on them to strengthen the stalks. Looks fantastic though. Got one to build myself.

Thank you for all of the tips!!! The water drainage isn't going to be easy but we will figure it out. Last year we used a small fan for the few seedlings that we grew. Thinking about it now we might upgrade to a type of ceiling fan.

@@SproutingPathsHomestead can u add sand to the 2" stone floor to fill air gaps? sand allows drainage and a darker sand will absorb solar heat

@@amaco2159 Sand is a very good choice for our situation and may be what we end up putting in. Sand is a good insulator too!!!

    Use straight wood yo!

We did think about wood for the floor but right now our plan is to fill sand in between the rocks. This should give drainage and insulation.
