Thanks for the great video; it was the best one I could find that explained the operations of the stove. A few questions if you don't mind. It is now 2017, do you still feel very positive about this product? I am looking to buy one for a new home. What do you think of the Stuv 30 Compact H with the accumulator? How effective is it? Any opinion on the original larger Stuv 30? Thanks again for your video.

Thanks for the feedback. The stove is still a very good stove and really stove burn/design has not really developed over the last few years so this stove is still as good today as it was 3 years ago. Accumulators (imo) are really only necessary in exceptionally tight low energy houses. If the house is modern but not into passive territory - say in the 3-5 air changes per hour or above, then the effect of accumulators aren't really appreciated. If the styling is a factor i.e. wanting a really tall unit, then may as well, but unless the house it perhaps doesnt make too much difference. Some stoves (Dan Skan) have the accumulators as stone kits which act as accumulators but also have a cosmetic/asthetic appeal.
TBH I have not ever used the original larger Stuv 30 and perhaps my only critisism of the 30 compact is the width of the fire chamber when using some larger pcs of wood.

Lovely stove. But, not really “compact”.
I’d love a hearth of that size…& the size of house to hold it!
We really need a soapstone stove that is short & small enough to retro into our mid-century fireplace; we like the cylinder design, but none seem to have a rear vent option & omit the tall legs.
