  • My personal favorite!! These are beautiful Summer foot jewelry for wearing at the pool or on the beach. They're also great for beach weddings.

    I’d love to make these for my granddaughter! I like idea of using stretchy thread…I think that’s a better way to do them.TFS❤️❤️🥰🥰💕💕🐶🐶🐶🇬🇧🇬🇧👍

    I have some friends who know I'm crafty and were hoping I could make some barefoot sandals... I was going to crochet them, but after seeing these😍 I have more options! Thanks for sharing 😊

    Love these!! I like your soft teaching style, makes for an enjoyable video to watch. I have made the crochet type, crocheting metallic stretch cord with a couple crystal beads on the top of the foot part, for years. Your's go faster, but use more beads. The great thing about it is that the seed beads are inexpensive, the cord and designer beads are a little more, but worth it. And it turns out such a lovely craft!!

      Thank you so much! :-) I first discovered the concept of barefoot sandals as a crochet project. I do love crochet, but I wasn't crazy about the barefoot sandals in crochet. However, it was a beautiful concept and I thought they would be much more elegant if I could do them with beads. So, I just worked with it and came up with a measurement, and from there the options are really endless. I'm so glad you like them! Thanks for watching. :-)

    You are so talented. I love these. It reminded me of something I saw sometime back on a young lady but it was wrapped around one of her fingers like a ring and then went up her hand and it wrapped around the wrist somehow. Can't remember exactly how it went but this seems really close to it. Do you know what I'm talking about (because I don't). :)

      Thanks so much! I do know what you're talking about. What you saw is called a slave bracelet. I've been meaning to do a video of one of those too! Thanks for the reminder. :-)

    Those are very nice. You should try a big eye needle they will go tru all the small beads and that's the needle they recommend when working with the elastic thread, it's a needle which is sharp at both ends and opens up in the middle, Michael's has them. Keep up the nice work.

    • @Craftie
      @Craftie  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Andree Caron Thanks so much for letting me know. 🙂 I will try to find one of those needles. Maybe I could find one online. I'm not fortunate enough to have a Michael's store. I live in a VERY small town. We don't have any craft stores. It requires a trip out of town but I can occasionally get to the JoAnn store a couple counties away. I'm glad you liked the video. 😃

      +Andree Caron Thanks again for your advice on a big eye needle. I looked and couldn't find one locally just like I thought. But I did find one online. I ordered it and it arrived yesterday. I can't wait to try it out. Thanks again! 🤗 #StayCraftie

      You are very welcome, surprised that your Michael's doesn't have them, cause I get mine here at their store, I'm in Canada so it could be different. Ask one of the salesperson about them.
      Hope that it works for you. Take care x0x0

      +Andree Caron I don't have a Michaels store nearby actually. I have no craft stores nearby. 🙁 Locally, I only have Walmart and a couple of dollar stores. Maybe that's why I didn't know about these needles. Lol. I get a lot of my craft supplies online. Thank you so much for telling me about these.

      You're welcome!!! Can't wait to go shopping. Is there a cheap place to get beads? Hobby Lobby is near me so I can go there. I did make a pair before I saw your just on my own. Using some old necklaces and findings. You inspired me to wasn't too Seoul a lot if I can. I need to but a used Class C RV to live in because I want to move out of Illinois. Blessing!

      I'm not sure on a cheap place to buy beads. I live in a tiny little town. We don't even have a craft store. Other than what I can find at Walmart, I get everything else online. You're lucky to have Hobby Lobby near you.

    Hi... I like those sandals.. what kind of string u use.. who u selling your for

    • @Craftie
      @Craftie  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks so much Mary! :-) I usually just get the .8mm size clear stretchy cord from Wal-Mart because I don't have local access to a craft supply store. But I was recently gifted some "Powercord" brand clear stretchy cord and it is much sturdier. I highly recommend it. I don't sell the barefoot sandals though.. Sorry. I make TH-cam tutorial videos showing folks how to make them themselves. :-) Thanks so much for watching Mary. Stay Craftie, friend. :-)

    I know this is an older video and you may not even reply but what if I wanted to make some for my little girl who's for and it's a size 10 and little kids shoe what measurements would I use then thanks for any help

    • @TKOrchids

      I just seen this video as well. My input would to make them as she made them, with the exception of making the ankle part shorter, maybe about 2 inches shorter to start. And maybe the toe part a little smaller. Just my thoughts 😊.
