- In today's heartfelt installment, I sit down with my husband of 14 years to reflect on his vibrant childhood and the choices he made in his younger years that led him away from his relationship with God. He has faced the difficult journey of drug addiction which led him to being a missionary at the age of 17 at an organization called Youth For Christ in Cape Town.
Over the next few years, he wrestles with issues of identity, belonging, and the challenges of receiving love and dealing with rejection. As he shares his story, he emphasizes that the strength to navigate these challenges comes from his faith in God.
Man I wish I could sit and speak to my Husband like this for hours…without it turning into an argument…😢

All I’m saying is I have a new found respect for Mr Makhs, this was probably a very hard conversation to have but it proves how important it is to always recognise that you are destined for goodness and you are capable to be the best version of your self through God even in the midst of your actions deviate from that greatness ❤
I am 41 years old and I still battle with condemnation. I’m breaking down as I watch this because I have never felt like I was good enough. I have 2 girls and I feel like I have nothing to offer them.but this conversation is so helpful to know that I’m not alone.

Been watching since the 7th minute and had no intention to comment but as a regular here since 2022,i am happy you are back mom and dad.Today's episode helped me to pause and reflect as Mr Makhs talked about his childhood. As a last born of 2 kids,i suffer from performance anxiety. Its like when my father died,all attention went to my brother who was 7 (and i was 2) because he understood death more. My young widowed mother would spend the rest of my life focusing on my brother along with relatives while i had to perform for teachers,neighbours and church to be recognised. I thank God this year i was intentional about finding my identity and it shocked me just how much i have been bending backwards for others so i can fit in. Knowing now that God is my father,Not one with a monster voice seeking to punish me but a loving,gracious,merciful Father helped me assert myself and after an ex told me am unlovable,now i know that Christ is enough for me.much love from 🇧🇼
