I came across this beer in an Italian restaurant in my home town and it was a nice change for me. It's rare now that I come across an imported lager in a restaurant from a brand I'd never heard of before, so it made a family pizza outing very pleasant. I'm from Poland and so far I haven't seen this beer anywhere else.
i last had this 20yrs ago. the best italian beer ever. don't know how it tastes these days - i assume it was bought by a bigger brewing company. but I remember the taste, exceptional beer ! good review Paul
Yeah Paul this is the best Italian lager I’ve had so far 👌🏻 and a bar in my town has started doing it on draught but I haven’t been there yet, cheers 🍻
Picked up a bottle of this and just tried it. Cracking lager for one so easy to get. Reminded me hiw I'd imagine Rosa Blanca would taste if it had the original ABV. Glad you liked it.
Heading to centre parks in a few weeks and I hear they have it on tap. As far as I'm aware even the keg stuff is imported. So looking forward to it now. Although I'm sure it will be about 8€ a pint. Will be bringing a few mini kegs for the gaf obviously of some nice fest beer.
Very glad you did this one. Have seen it in my Morrisons but was put off by the ‘Birra Blond’ description. Now I’ve seen this I definitely want to get some. Sounds just my kinda drink. Thanks for the review 👍
Nice to see an Italian import. All the others brewed in the UK taste a bit samey to me. There is a Italian/Spanish theme atm and they all probably brewed within 10miles 😂 and taste the same.
Great review as usual Paul. I first tried this probably around 18 months ago, also from Morrisons in a 660ml. A cracking lager to be fair, especially for the price. Another excellent imported lager to consider which is readily available in most supermarkets is the Victoria Malaga from Spain (also usually in 660ml). Hard to split these 2. Perhaps Spain just beats Italy for me here. 👍
I agree! This is the best supermarket lager!!! Perfect session beer it used to be in a 660ml bottle they've shrunk it down to 500ml :( the only fault i have! Great review man
I'll give it a go, corn being listed as an ingredient kind of puts me off, but if it isn't too much corn, and if you say it's as good as Warsteiner or Krombacher. Definitely worth a go.
Bought some of this a little while ago. Morrison's sell 10pk or the big bottles, i liked it because its actually brewed in Italy....none of this brewed in the uk using an Italian recipe rubbish lol.
Update... Got these on offer in Tesco's this afternoon - 3 big bottles for £6. Opened one now... What a fantastic lager. VERY impressed. No-brainer at that price. Hope it's not one that they just stop stocking like happened with Sierra Nevada pale ale in Tesco's

Paul, apologies if I have missed it, new subby here. Have you done any dark larger reviews? I recently had a Budvar Dark on tap and was blown away and now have the bug for it. Wonder what your take on the best you had on dark larger?
They have this on tap not too far away, it’s really good. Moretti is only good on tap and peroni has fell through the floor. This is the best one for me.
I loved this but got some the other day and thought it tasted thinner and blander: looked on the label and it's now "brewed in the UK the Italian way". No longer says aged for 30 days.
You’re the second person to tell me this. That is an absolute shocker and another example of us British customers being mugged off with these lower abv British brewed versions. Not sure how much longer we’re supposed to tolerate it to be honest. Hope you’re well mate, thanks for watching 🍻
24 Oct 2024 - spotted this beer in my local co-op last night - now brewed and bottled in the UK 'under the supervision of Menabrea' - FFS. Out of all the lagers they had, the only ones brewed in the purported country of origin were Estrella Damm and Peroni, everything else was UK brewed. A total joke!
@@paulsbeerreviews it's up to us as consumers to refuse to buy them I guess! It's a shame that the usual punter wouldn't even think to consider this when buying beer

Ill be trying this soon! Thanks Paul and as ever COYS!!

Thanks for reviewing it, definitely one of the best mass produced beers you can currently get in the supermarkets.
Fancy trying this one great review Paul all the best from the North East 👍
Defo worth a go buddy. Cheers 🍻

Have you ever had Pietra? It's a great beer from Corsica. Would be a good one to review if you haven't already done so!
Must give this a whirl. Love the look of that bottle to 🍺🍺

Absolute bargain price for a lager of that quality!
I get US pint cans of Sierra Nevada pale ale in my local big Tesco
I think that might be the draft style pale ale that’s only 5% instead of the 5.6%. Major difference in taste
@@Dexton0742 yeah it is, I can get the original in bottles at co-op
Co-op eh? Thanks man, will try there too 👍
It's very good!

Yes I have, I’ve done Budvar dark at some point.
Not had this for awhile but defo been solid beer when I had it long time ago now from Morrisons

Red peroni is decent if you can find it

U should try Heineken 0.0

They also do it in cans £12 for 10
Where from?
I’ve test to see that.
I’ve seen 10 bottles for £12 though.
Top tier lager
👍🍻🍻🍻👍

You said it all my friend 😆

Really getting tired of all this
contract brewing at lower abv’s that’s going on now.

£8.60 in a hotel close to where I live ...nice beer otherwise
