I remember Chester totally outplayed us at Newcastle and saw us off in the replay, and gave Villa a run for their money in the semis. Great little team, they beat us again 5 years later at SJP with Ian Rush scoring! Stuff like that rarely happens today, it made the game great.
Thank you for sharing this video, I was there, and just watching, and in deed hearing the crowd certainly brought back the memories, I was standing in the 'kop' end that evening. Those days of a small club like Chester having a little lime-light are still precious.
I think you'll find that "most clubs" don't play the likes of Villa week in week out. The Premiership clubs do, and they make up about 0.01% of all the clubs that play the game. For a club like Chester, from a small City with a low fanbase, to reach the semis of the League Cup wasn't a bad achievement, but if you can't understand that go back to your armchair Premiership shite
Be interested to know what Chester fans feel about the Rangers fans claim that despite having a CVA rejected and subsequently being Liquidated that they still consider themselves to be the very same Club? Having read up about your own unfortunate recent history I wonder how this sit's with you guys? Many thanks confused Scotland.
You having a laugh m8? Most clubs play Aston Villa and the likes week in week out! Its only in Chester where a DRAW against Aston Villa becomes one of the clubs historical events. But dont delude yourself. A one of game does not alter the fact that by and large the only team Chester have ever been capable of beating is the B team! And that is only because they dont even have one

Who ever whatever ball bag
What a wnkr
We beat Newcastle and the old first division champions Leeds United 3-0, no team from league 2 now could get a result like that against Man City
