The ribbon length depends on the ribbon width. It is about double the width plus 1/2 inch extra but make sure you can fold it in to a triangle shape. You need as many ribbon pieces as you have segments for each round, sometimes double if you want to fill it out the gaps. The thinner the ribbon the more rounds you need to do, 1 inch wide ribbon needs about 5-6 rounds to finish 1 half of the ball, 2 inch wide ribbon may only need 4-5 rounds to finish a half. Vicky x
The 'no sew' part is what got me interested. I'm not great at sewing, so this sounds perfect

Lovely..just lovely. I’ve made these with just fabric…and with fabric folded into the angles of a design on a small patch of counted cross stitched Aida cloth. Now, I’ll try it with ribbon. Thanks for posting.

Why bother with the written instructions? They're not up long enough to read. Waste of space on the TH-cam platform.
I'm sorry that you feel that way, I try not to make my videos too long as people would get board, if you miss the writing that comes up you can always pause and rewind that bit or slow down the video in the settings.
I like the written ones. You can always pause the video and then work from that until you need the next step.
I like they are written since then you can just pause when you want to read
