Once again bro I agree 100%. I guess I'm just too old school for my own good. I was raised where mc's NEVER compromised their art. PERIOD! Dudes like Cormega and AZ have the lyrical ability to be as famous as Jay-Z and 50. HOWEVER, they have REFUSED to crossover (commercial bait) and instead have a humble cult following that has granted them longevity. THATS what I respect. I love the RAW. i love the mobb deep's and the M.O.P
s and the Cormega's of the 90's. Lyrics AND honor.

i think budden has proven that he has what it takes to be the best rapper alive. he definitely should deliver on padded room. i thought his first album was cool. didn't really like the pump it up's, fire's, ma ma ma's too much. mostly liked his personal, introspective tracks he had. he does have pretty good lyrics, similes, metaphors, good at story-telling and being lyrical at the same time.

Check it: All the people that bought his first COMMERCIAL album that liked it are looking at Buddens saying "damn, I liked that CD, now even Buddens is gonna apologize and say he knows it wasnt that good? Fuck him, not buying his shit no more."
Then you got the REAL hip hop heads that overlooked that COMMERCIAL album saying, "Damn, Buddens thinks he can get into the game on some radio shit then attract the REAL heads later on? Nah, fuck him. sell out!"
hip hop is cut throat. no 2nd chances

Heres my take on this convo. I feel Buddens could have a better legacy than jay-z if he wanted to. I mean he has the ability to, I just think he doesn't push himself as hard as a 50 cent, Ludacris, kanye west, etc.

As you may already know, Eminem is well known in the rap community. his record label "Shady Records" is fully promoting rap group Slaughterhouse (Joe Budden, Royce Da 5'9, Joell Ortiz, & Crooked I) and as much as i like Slaughterhouse, Joe Budden gots to go
