- Learn to crochet a corner to corner scarf. This pattern is an adaptation of Red Heart's Corner to Corner Afghan. As you can see, this pattern is very versatile as you could make afghans, runners, shawls and more. Many people assume your project needs to be square. As you will learn it doesn't have to be. Pattern is available on our website at bit.ly/1PMxwTj #crochet #learntocrochet #crochettutorial .
This video is closed-captioned for the deaf and hard-of-hearing communities. The captioning is also available in multiple languages such as Spanish, French, German, Italian and Portuguese. The written pattern is only available in English. . *** .

this looks like fun! Mikey you make it seem so much easier than just reading the pattern. Thank you SO MUCH for doing these videos for us!! You are priceless!!
I always get so happy when I find a video of yours 😊 nobody has ever used the tail to explain where you are at, that helped me so much!!
Oh interesting. I love to hear tidbits like this. It's one of those unsaid things.
Every now and then, after 40 plus years of crocheting, I find a new pattern I want to try. This is one of them. The last one was your crocodile stitch which I love using. Thank you Michael. See you this Saturday at the Creativ Festival.
Great video, and very nice choice of yarn, too. I will be coming back to watch, until I have it memorized. Thank you for making it easy!
After seeing the afghan tutorial, I did this as a 7x9" rectangle to include in my pile to be donated for the Warm Up America afghans. Really a fun pattern!
I'm making a baby blanket with this stitch, learned it more than 15 years ago,,, beautiful!! Vey nice yarn!
Thank you Mikey for explaining it so easy. I came across Facebook and seen one of your advertisements about 5 to 6 years ago. From there I went to your website and have been following you ever since.
Thank you once again you are one of God's special people, God bless you sweetie.
After three false starts I finally completed a scarf! I am beyond happy! I have already started a second. Thank you for this video! Best I have found for learning this stitch.
Great job! I'm glad you go through the false starts and succeeded. That's means a lot that your mind is working out the logistics. Well done.
Lol love this pattern, my daughter saw the yarn color and now she wants it. It is a nice yarn.
Volevo farti i complimenti per la fantasia!!!
Ti seguirò molto volentieri!!!
oh, cool..the corner to corner afghan in scarf form...very nice
hi good day, I really enjoyed this scarf, and while not quite understand the English knitting just see what I can understand, thank you very much for sharing your knowledge and your ability .. have a nice day, sorry if my English is very accurate but it costs a bit. regards
This pattern dates back to the 1800's and is the first pattern I learned. I would love to learn its origins and creator. At the same time, it is my go to pattern when I need a quick blanket. Love it:-)
I received a baby blanket with this stitch for my daughter, but did know the name of it or how to replicate it. I have been looking for this stitch for months! Thanks Mikey, now with your tutorial I can make this stitch into blankets and so much more! >.
This C2C pattern is the perfect video for me to share with the folks over at Warm Up America Makers. Often people want to,learn this stitch in order to make 7x9” sections for blankets.
Thanks Mikey you came through again on a scarf idea. I bought Caron Cakes Latte, and for the life of me, I didn't know what pattern to use, because I wanted the pattern to show up for how soft and wonderful this yarn is. Thanks again!
Have made soooo many of these with Caron cakes. They come out beautiful. People think I have mad skills! 😂😂😂😂😂 Thanks for the clear and concise instructions.
Hi from the picture it looks like Mikey just ran a few rows of sc around the edge of the scarf to give it a more finished look ...hope that helps ....Cathy@The Crochet Crowd :)
I love the tutorial videos, easy explanations and easy to follow instructions. I love making gifts for loved ones.
I will make a top with this stitch, thanks for your tutorial, you are a very good teacher.
I love this stitch... I learn it in the 70's... thanks for sharing...
Just wanted to let you know that I really appreciate your terminology used as it made it much easier for me to follow what you were saying.. When you used "box", "growing", and especially "fold it over like a book"; each of these phrases impressed upon me exactly what you were talking about and what I had to do. Thank you so much for all your patterns, challenges, and videos. You make new patterns extremely easy to do. Just sorry that I'm not closer to attend your classes/seminars.
Just finished my 1st c2c scarf following this tutorial. Love love the crochet crowd and Mikey . Thank you all.
Thanks Mikey....This was my go-to pattern to do scarves and I keep making them over and over.
I love the visual along with the written instructions in the video!
Very easy to follow you. Can crochet with you just by watching video. Also enjoyed your crocodile stitch. Thank you.

Just whipped out a scarf in record time using this pattern. Turned out beautifully!!! Thank you so much for your easy to follow tutorials. ❤️
Thank goodness for this video! I kept watching the afghan video but it fast forwards through the part where you stop growing a side after the 1st show of it so I never was sure were to end on the 2nd pass and on. I almost frogged the whole afghan!
Hats
Thank you Mikey!!!!!!!! You are the absolute greatest.

This is such a beautiful stitch and I absolutely love how this turns out, not to mention that doing this is actually fun ! I would love to create more of your projects and thank you so much for the tutorial :)
I love this tutorial! I found putting a stitch marker on the side not growing kept me sane, haha. Thanks for sharing! Liked & subscribed!
I love all your tutorials, i have made so many items, thank you Mikey, you have made crocheting much more fun.
Best explanation on internet more power to u👏🏻
I'm doing the corner to corner afgain right know. I did 96 blocks know I'm decreasing back down to make it a square. It goes real fast except when u get to the middle of the project. Its fun cause I can watch TV and do my project without thinking to hard. But I made a oth to myself to finish one project at a time. It doesn't matter how long it takes to finish just as long u finish.
Thank you Mikey I didn't know how to crochet until I saw your video. You explain it very well.
This is AWESOME and you're a great teacher. Thanks
Can't quite believe that I got this right on the first try!!

Thank you for a great, clear tutorial with subtitles. I now understand c2c!
This is the best explained CTC I have ever seen.. Thank you so much for making it so clear and easy to follow!!!
No brainier indeed 😂 I kept seeing facebook say c2c. So I just found a shawl and started it, love it!! But decided I wanted 2 scarfs instead out of a mandala cake instead of one shawl.
Scarves are nice and easy to complete. Great choice.
@@TheCrochetCrowd Have you a border video for c2c please. Thank you. I've done the scarf but would like to do a blanket now with a border. You're so easy to follow.
Love from Ireland xxx
@@annmariemurphy9432 I sure do. It’s here on our channel
@@TheCrochetCrowd Ah how kind to reply. Now would you ever give me the link on your you tube channel for the c2c border. Tis blind now I'm going looking through all the videos. I suppose now its looking at me. Can't over how mannerly ye are replying to me.
Love from Ireland xxx
Like many other comments I have noticed, I too would like to know what you did to finish the edge in the picture of the scarf. I have finished my scarf, but love how the one you have in the picture looks. Without the edge, it just seems a little plain to me. Thanks for all your great tutorials and or teaching me how to crochet & know. I began watching your videos 2 years ago & had NEVER knitted or crocheted a day in my life, but had also admired people who did.
Thank you for this. Great voice and instruction xxx
you are the best teacher. you really take your time to explain things
Thank you so much for teaching me how to do C2C! This will be my 3rd project in this technique and it so much fun! I would never have managed to master it had it not been for your tutorials. I am also planning on paying this forward by teaching crochet to some of my friends. This is great for stress relief and just plain entertainment. I think everybody should be able experience the beauty of crochet.
Thanks for the video as always such a good teacher .
Fantastic!!!
Thank you so much for helping me so I can better teach my students! I would highly recommend any crochet crowd tutorials!
Simply fantastic.Very well done.Very well explained.
Mikey--I absolutely LOVE listening and following your tutorials. For a beginner such as myself I greatly appreciate the way that you explain the stitches. This particular pattern, however, took me a few tries to get started. Once I figured out the orientation of the beginning corner it was a piece of cake. So, thank you. :)
I love this stitch, and you explained it so well thank you

How do you get the pattern.
Mary Wurth Hi I added the written pattern to the more info section under the video but here is a direct link for you to use as well thecrochetcrowd.com/corner-to-corner/ -Cathy@The Crochet Crowd :)
love your videos Mikey. I believe the variegated yarn looked confusing, I wish you would have done this "corner to corner" scarf in a solid color.
I made a wavy stitch scarf with the fruit punch yarn and it came out so pretty. :D
Thanks for the step by step explanation...!!!!
Thanks for this tutorial! I made a scarf using Lion Brand Scarfie, and it turned out beautifully!
I love Scarfie. I'm making a knitted sweater coat with it.
Thank you very much for this video. I followed along and got a good start towards making a scarf.
Thank you for including written explanation, I understand more English reading and very little listening. Greetings from Mexico.
You are just amazing! !
Very pretty! love Carol
Love this! This is my first project. I'm done but I'm having trouble comprehending the pattern for the border. I've improvised and just started doing SC around it where they will fit bit I would really like to learn how to read the pattern for the border. Thanks for doing these tutorials!
Sorry for delayed reaction and thanks for your reply.
Counter clockwise brings the yarn in front of the work, which seems "unnatural" to me, as it is normally on the backside of your work while crocheting. The odd thing is that I've never given it much thought until recently. I've been crocheting since I was 6 yrs old (which gives me more than 50 years experience LOL,but doesn't make me an all round crocheter).
this helped me get the decreasing side correct. THANK YOU.
Love your videos. Request: please crochet pattern for Dickey neckwarmer. Winter nearly here in South Africa. Thank you in advance. Be safe.
Very nice thank you.
So hooked on this pattern. I use a clip on the side that I don't want increase so when I get to that end I'm reminded.
Jill Torning excellent idea
Jill Torning great idea.
