The Juans specifically featured Stell for this song because this song can be related to Stell's own struggles and story of not giving up despite all the ridicule he got from people since the beginning of his career. There was a time when he really got depressed, didn't see himself worthy, and was very down from all the bashing against his looks. Some SB19 lives sobrang tahimik sya and doesn't even make jokes like he usually does. It took a toll on him. This song reflects what he felt during those times.
As a side note, this song was written by Chael, one of their guitarists. He has bipolar disorder and he wanted to embrace the good and bad side of that condition. The red and green lights in the MV represent his manic and depressive sides. He is finally in the acceptance stage of it that's why they're all laughing and happy at the end of the MV.
This MV and song is deeper than it seems.

Thanks Jose & Smile for this RV. I too admire The Juans’ messages in their songs. If I recall correctly, Carl uploaded a video in his channel where he shared the background of this song “Salamin”. I also recall in the same video Carl mentioned Stell went to a dance teacher in preparation for the “Salamin” video. Thanks again and have a good week. P.S. Have you listened to songs of Lola Amour? Among their hits is “Raining in Manila”. Also, I suggest “Leanne & Nara”. Their songs were used in the OST of the Filipino movie “Replacing Chef Chico” ( available in Netflix).
