I do think it's important to have or make friendships with non believers. We need to shine our light and let people see us as we live to be examples. Also sharing our faith is easier when you have some sort of friendship or relationship with someone... I would urge Christians not to close themselves off and build friendships.
It’s good to evangelise and be a good example for non-believers. But you shouldn’t be friends with people that can stray you away from faith. It’s hard, but often times people don’t realise how much the people surrounding them affect them
definitely agree. There needs to be some level of mutual trust and respect for evangelism to take hold. However, it would be unwise to let unbelievers into your close circle of friendship as they can begin to influence you in ways that may lead you astray.
My closest friends are those who point me to Jesus Christ. I love my non-believing friends, too, but there is a manner in which we aren’t and can’t be yoked together. My duty to them is to love them, pray for them, build them up, and hope one day we might be united in Christ (and that’s His job, not mine).

Everything fades but Christ, as you age you realise this truth more and more. Spreading, growing and being a beacon of the truth of Christ is how we show love. Only God is good. I have acquaintances, of faith and outside in the midst of them i am truly alone, only God walks with me. Its a hard lesson but there is nothing new under the sun. This lesson has already been written. We each stumble. What does it mean that throughout the old testament God's people converted entire families including servants and slaves. 2 John chp 1 vs 8-10 Goes even harder. What truly is a friend? When you are at such a low point, when you are deeply embarrassed, in great need or ashamed, can you turn to the people you call friends. Are you comfortable in the uncomfortable with them? Do those people not judge you, help you, support you and pray with you and for you, and encourage you? That's a friend. 2 people in my whole life, and one died this year. Be intentional with everything, especially in your practice of faith. People like these come like guardian angels put in place by God. I pray for a discerning spirit, and would encourage all fellow brothers and sisters in christ to, if not already. Your path to God is unique, the road is narrow and its spiritual warfare. The word friend is deeply meaningful to me. I have acquaintances, friends and family. They're just words, your light is precious I guess what I'm saying is, be prepared to stand alone, with God as your rod and your staff. Sorry about the essay.
