    Man, I went back and forth on this one for over a year. I didn’t think I’d like the ergos until I finally just went through with the purchase and got it in-hand. Words rarely fail me, but you said it best; “Badass”, indeed.

    I love the blade profile. I have a Pro Tech Promethious that's similar to this. Very practical blade. I've been searching DLT, and blade HQ for one with blue anodized scales. Love your content man keep it going!

    I have been thinking about buying one for months now. Finally, we can take apart Medfords and not void the warranty; big- big, huge PLUS! Greg Medford you did good here! Like you said, it's a tool and if your worried about ounces, look away. Love the hollow grind! Thanks for the review!

    I have been looking forward to this review... I like the way you talked about this, with the whole "working mans tool" in mind, really well done, no bitching about break in period, awesome. I really thought it was a finger choil, maybe your hands are too big for it? I really like to take knives apart from time to time, although it is really not necessary, unless it´s like a more complex system. Btw i heard the same thing about the warranty, so it must be true ;) haha

    • @NeevesKnives
      @NeevesKnives 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah im pretty sure it is true, as long as you can put it back together its fine, but I like to work on my own tools also, but the choil is a choil for the first part of your finger, my whole finger couldnt fit just the nail part

      @@TheGrayManOG I'm the same although I have sold some of mine to buy others. For awhile I wouldn't even carry my more expensive knives. I'm slowly getting over that. Right now I'm carrying my zt 0393sw which is the priciest knife I've carried on a regular basis. I once carried my Reate jack v1.0 just to show it off to some friends. But when I need to use a knife around the house, I use a Ganzo. Lol. I want to sell some of my early purchases, crkt, kershaw, real steel, but it's hardly worth the shipping for what I'd get for them, and there really isn't much interest in them anyway. I used to be about quantity over quality but that's flipped around now.

    I can’t choose between this or the infraction. I don’t like really big knives. The zaan is about as big as I’ll go. Or the full size ad20. But I have a slim midi and I can say Greg does one of the best heat treatments I’ve ever seen!

  •  4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Just bought one. It’s a chunk of change for sure but, I wanted a lifetime knife.A knife that could stand up to just about whatever I need it for.I use a knife for everything I do at work and it has to be tough. I was going to buy a Chris Reeve but those have been played out over the years with a million reviews and such so I decided to buy something different.Looks like a beast and should hold up for many years. Great review bro. Later

    Great review. I am not terribly worried about the lock face; MKT tempers 3V very well. Their CPM D2 is also much more impact resistant than normal D2. There is 187 with S90V; I would be much more concerned considering how brittle S90V is. I love this knife. My current favorite.

    • @NeevesKnives
      @NeevesKnives 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Spanner bits will open Medford pivots right up. Order a set online cheap, put a dense weave thin fabric or thick gorilla tape over pivot holes and be gentle with bit and you’ll be scratch free.

      @peterclinch9220 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah a lot of “hard use” knives ( not just Medfords) have edge geometry like a cold chisel. Not the 187. It’s no slicer but it’s got a good grind for, you know, cutting things.
