This gun was unusable in season 3 and now is one of the best guns in season 4.
It wasn’t necessarily unusable in S3, it was just severely outclassed by weapons that could put out a better fire rate and TTK than it could

Yeah I play a lot of median and I agree.
i mean to be fair, it is reasonable buff for actual Grenade Launcher to do more damage like it supposed to. people who complained about it will need to suck it up and do better to counter because i do find few way to counter it and i am still learning so many way to counter it. but one thing i dislike is the blast radius, way too strong on direct impact on body or ground nearby target

Lmao because it shoots… wait for it… GRENADES… You must have zero movement. It’s a destruction based game. I literally spent half of yesterday killing and tea bagging them over and over… most CL40 users aren’t TH-cam/Twitch streamers so they are not this viable with the weapon therefore with movement and skill you can take most of them out. I love this weapon and get plenty of kills but i get killed plenty as well. You’re just annoyed that the game isn’t exactly how you want it. Fyi grenades do more damage then guns in real life too 😂 🤡

My personal opinion the damage falloff curve shoud be steeper, so compared to the current state, direct hit damage will be a little more, on the outside of the damage area - less

Everything is a spammy weapon. Even the Pike is a spammy weapon. You just need to learn how to counter the CL40, which is very easy.
Light players in lower ranks are now experienceing getting deleted like light players at high ranks always have. Maybe this will reduce the amount of light players, driving their win rate back up like Embark wanted. Btw, using grapple or gateway is a great way to avoid the CL40. APS, jump pad on medium. Dome shield and even nerfed mesh on heavy.

Dev Note: On reviewing data it’s become apparent that the Pike was fairly overturned in our 4.0 release and this adjustment is intended to move it to a more reasonable place. We suspect it may still be too effective in too many different use cases, so we’ll continue to review the impact of this change and adjust in later patches if we feel more balancing is needed.

I stopped playing a week after release because of how repetitive the game feels and lack of maps sure there’s more but it feels like the same game from launch with very minimal changes other than minor buffs and nerfs it all just feels meh after a couple days and yes I’ve been playing have almost 1k matches played it’s just too much of a standstill

In quick cash, every high-skill player can easily smurf and get 20 kills above even I use sledge.
Every player in high rank that I know would never say CL40 is OP.

@@gitarherowmate the game not appealing for lower skill players kills the game not the opposite. This game already doesn’t get enough new players and when someone tries it they get spammed by triple M with cl 40 and delete the game in less than an hour. The sweats will get bored and leave as well
Based on the comments that I've read there's a lot of counterplay that you can do for lights just use a gateway or grapple heck even the dash could help for dodging and for mid just run the aps turret or use the goo grenade to block them and for heavy literally use a dome shield just throw it at them and you should be good I dont get how this could negatively impact the game and if its too hard for people to find counterplay I would say they're just too lazy to find a solution to problem. Even at higher ranks people dont really say its broken because they already know a counter to it.

Countering this weapon depends on someone knowledge about the game and not someone who just downloaded it, they won’t even play a second match because all of the mediums have it and just spam. And for lights that play with a controller it’s even worse because of the recoil and nerf to xp-50+ most light weapons are close range and the dash doesn’t work all he has to do is just hit the ground near the light twice and the light is dead. Not to mention that in closed areas it dominates with literally nothing to counter if you’re a light
Only way to balance this stupid gun is to remove it. Same with the rpg, it simply doesnt belong in ANY fps, the entire concept is completely broken and requires no skill whatsoever.
Its a game that has the element of "DESTRUCTION" how are they going to remove a weapon that literally has the element of "DESTRUCTION"

Heal beam and turret is not really useful, turret is fine but demat is too strong to not pick, its literally the best survivability util u can use, catch people off guard, isolate people, steal cashout from below floor, chase people. So much stuff u can do with it.
