I think they did all right. They toured the world several times over. Played on network TV live. Their best stuff was in the rap metal era and at least in the states rock radio would not play them. Maybe they could have had a hit like the Donnas did but I don’t know. Later they tried too hard to have a hit and they were not as good. This video has some really rocking stuff.
@@ericn1450 Sahara Hotnights had loads of hits, they were far better than Donnas, they never got the recognition they deserved sadly, if they were from US or UK they probably would have been pretty huge

It's embarrassing. Maria gets over-pumped on big playnights. Got the idea she was going to cheek-to-cheek a married cameraguy and he couldn't get her off her during preshow checks. The guards had to pin her to the only free studio space by the radiator for 30 min until she calmed down and refocused on the gig. They all laughed it off over a beer backstage later.
