Thanks for the heads up mate, but currently there is no actual law to state that carp must not be returned into the water, it is recommended that they aren't returned but no laws to say they can't providing they are released in the same waters where caught. There are fines however for transporting carp and/or releasing them into a different body of water. We understand that they are a pest species within Australia, which each state having its own rules, but thats the current rules where we are atm 🐟
