Epic should go look at what Capitol did with SuperM's albums. That is how you do member versions of an album.

She only has the group version and a Lucas version, but you can get the idea with just those two. It is a much better execution of member versions for an album.
One United version. Group pics in it. Each member got a version and each member version is just that member. 2 pc per album.
You can also search SuperM unboxing and see each member go through their own album.

Reminds me of B.A.P's Noir albums too, only different thing about each member album, besides the member covers, was that you get a member-specific postcard. Would've been nice to get member-specific photobooks too like what they did for the Special Versions of their Matrix album...but I still had to collect all of the albums 😅😅
I think the only company that did american album debut right was capitol with superm’s album. All photocards were selfies and each member got their own photoshoot 🥺

Yeah I’m very proud, I thought capitol wasn’t going to do well with a Kpop group for the first time but because it’s tied with sm, they pulled the versions off a lot. The concepts are different with every version so overall I’m happy with it. I have the Lucas and Taeyong version and they pulled their concepts so well
I think it's also because SM made sure they did it right. They know how bad American labels are at making kpop albums and didn't want SuperM's whole debut to be dragged because of their albums.
This is no attack to Starship, but it's towards Epic.

Wonhaed I wish they would leave Starship when their contract ends, come together as seven again and start their own business. Even KNK did it. And they are a really small group. Monsta X could definitely do it!

Well i got the 4 deluxes versions, they are all the same and i got the same photocards for each version. So now i ended up with 4 kihyun's and 4 min's cards. They literally gave us the same photos, the same photocards and they don't even care. It's pretty unfair to charge us for the same material, even the extras are the same...If I buy the same version, ok it's the same , but I bought 4 different deluxe versions , I paid 75€ for them expecting different content... I 'm happy to have the opportunity to support them and I'm not regreting this but It was a big cold water bucket -.-

Honestly this is such a scam. All member versions are the same except the front and back, all deluxe ver. are the same and the photocards are literally some teaser pictures they already posted.I know its not the boys's fault, the songs are wonderful. Epic just really did a bad job, I'm sorry.

I agree. When I heard they were all the same, I was like "that's a scam to claim you have different versions but put the same photos in all of them". I really want to see MX move to Capitol Records.
Epic fail records don't get me started on them. They could of done a better job with packaging. Who does 4 versions of albums with the same photobook? Oh wait epic fail records of course.

I bought all versions to support the boys but im super disappointed the way Epic Records did this album...especially since we got member photobooks like 3 months ago.

ngl i was SUPER disappointed when I opened my albums. I figured that if the member versions didn't come with a member photocard they would at least come with different photobooks and group cards. Also the writing you were talking about says LOVE :)
I was hoping so too....kinda sad it ended up with way, at least we get a korean comeback in 2 months that'll for sure be better than this lol
lowkey disappointed in the duplicate content and inconsistency...glad I purchased the full set + a few member versions to support them...but EPIC did them and us so so so dirty...

what makes this such a scam is probably partly the wonho scandal - there probably are many photos and photo shoot settings that exist for this era just as any other era. i think that they got lazy and didn’t want to edit wonho out of 4 whole different photo shoots, i mean they literally messed up on the cover one and wonho’s reflection was literally in the water lmfao. they could’ve just took new pictures tbh because it’s not that hard to dress up the boys one day and do the photoshoots considering they were so dedicated to keep wonho out of the pictures. the promotion for this era was shit, usually they post concept pictures for like a month that showcases what each of the albums versions will look like. however they didn’t do that this time so it tricked us all into thinking all these different versions would actually all have varying content, but they’re all exactly the same :/
I think they should've just left wonho in everything. His vocals are still in the songs he should still be in all the photos.
I'm so glad I watched this before deciding to buy more. I preordered I.M one then went to Target and bought a deluxe one. This company is trash for this and they know it

that was WAY too many jobs for Epic
I only bought one version. I thought the photos printed in the book were very high quality, but i wish they hadn't photo shopped wonho out. they were already going to pay him royalties as as his voice is on the tracks. They could have easily just left it alone and not paid someone to photoshop a dozen photos. As far as the music goes, it was a huge success for me. I think the music is fantastic and worth the buy. I have listened to nothing else the release. Was disappointed there were no selfie cards... as well as now seeing this.. that all the versions were the same. Hopefully they see the number of sales that this album brings in and hears our complaints and makes next (if there is a next english release) better. Surely everyone's upset.. not at the music but how the rest was handled and dont lash out at the boys themselves. I'm sure they arent happy either.

@@lozza821 I'm not talking about the photobooks or pcs, I'm ONLY talking about the pricing. most people can't afford to buy every single version anyways, so it's more affordable in general for people like me who normally have to pay upwards of like 50CAD usually to get one copy of their album to ship to Canada. the prices are decent, I don't know why everyone feels the need to complain about this album. at least the PR team TRIED. if people keep complaining, MX is going to think we don't appreciate the album.

I pre-ordered all 4 deluxe versions, Joohoney's version plus the Barnes & Noble ltd Ed LP to support the boys but I feel sorry for everyone who had to save up to buy all the different versions. Like you say Epic, well lets be honest, ALL US and UK record labels need to learn from Korea on how to do it properly.

It's straight up a scam.... like why would they release different versions if they are all the same? To trick fans into bying them all even tho it's really not worth it. Love monsta x with all of my heart but epic records can burn honestly
I hope that despite the fact that the regular and deluxe albums are all the same, the album itself does well in terms of its music. Very lazy effort from Epic. They need to take a lesson from Capitol, where they let SM make the album packaging themselves and then Capitol slaps their sticker on it and puts it for sale in the US.
so they made 4 versions... with everything exactly the same for each of the versions... and thought it made sense? I'm so confuse because : what's the point of having an other version if the content is absolutely identical to the other version?? It's just doesn't sound logical even if you aren't familiar with how korean packaging works :')
Tohru Honda is an angel and we don't deserve her I know right! There’s no point in making individual versions when the content is the same. The difference is just that they slapped a members face in the cover and called it a member version. I love monsta x’s music but this is just disappointing.

I'm still waiting for my hyungwon one. I went to their event in LA today didn't get into the show they overbooked. I did randomly meet them at the popup. Seeing this makes me excited for my copy.

Back here because The Dreaming pre-order is now on-going and guess what, the freaking member covers HAVE THE SAME CONTENTS AS THE STANDARD VERSION AGAIN, I am praying that the deluxe ones have different photobooks though.
i LOVE All About Luv with all my heart... I love it more than my own existence, but epic records really let us down and didn’t make it whole heartily. Compared to the packaging to Follow, I think we know the obvious winner. I’m so proud of the boys, but epic records really need to step up their game.
I’m so sad I literally have 11 albums of all the same pictures 😭. The photo cards are weird too. Super thin like homemade and some are cut and uncut. This release was just done so messy, but I’m happy I was able to support my babies
The reflective silver thing you make it into a cylinder and put on top of the circles of the poster to be able to read what those globe thingies say. :)

I’d say Capital Records is the only company that did a k-pop group right, SuperM, their albums were amazing: each member got their spring time with photoshoots, their own mini posters and photocards which were unique, along with selfies, for their non-album photocards they all had separate shoots. So sorry you got screwed over girl with these albums because I’d be hella disappointed too if they were all the same shoot, like why the hell release member exclusive albums if their all the same?
Overall glad I was able to support them but I definitely would not have bought more then one version had I known about the photo books as it just isn’t practical for me personally. I’m not even interested in the photocards after feeling how flimsy they are but I might as well finish it because I’m only missing one member. So I guess epic wins lol
I'm literally heartbroken with the packaging. I'm very much the type of person where I just want to support the boys and their amazing album release but,,,, this was not worth my 80 dollars. Not to mention i'm waiting for member versions in the mail. And the photocards are thin as tissue paper? Like what? I feel so guilty for my purchase that i'm actually for the first time going to attempt to return my other versions and only keep one. I can't justify the money on this. I just can't and I feel awful for returning a monsta x product but I would rather return this and then immediately go buy one of their korean albums to make up for it. Epic, what on earth were you trying to pull here.

I love this album so much! I bought version 4 and I had plans to buy versions 1, 2, and 3. But if they’re all the same I don’t think it’s worth it. I mean I might still buy them because I love Monsta X, but since they’re all the same I won’t be buying the rest any time soon. Glad I watched this video before spending on the rest of the versions that are exactly the same! Epic really did do the boys dirty 😭😭

On my version, on the page at 5:36, on Hyungwon’s face on the bottom right, there’s this huge white spot. I’ve seen other people who have the exact same thing so I wondered at first if it was actually intentional, but then when I watched this video, I realized that Carolyn’s is completely fine.

As a person who can only afford one album out of a complete set, I think the packaging and everything is actually pretty cool. I like the whole concept and photo book. But I understand how it can be a complete rip off if you were to buy the complete set. Totally worth it to buy one album, but definitely not the complete set.

I went to target and bought all “4 versions” only to find out they’re all the same 🥺 but regardless it’s going towards them and I got my biases in all my pc

Yea Super M did a better job with PC and stuff but thats because they had better planning and stuff. Like I feel like Monsta X already had such a crazy schedule besides this English album like in honestly surprised they even had time to do an English album debut. I'm just glad that all the songs are great!
It's the same for my albums as well. Hopefully Epic gets better and I just gave some of my repeat stuff to my cousins.

I honestly feel like that’s the only thing worth buying because the all member normal version is literally all included in every version of the album and the individual versions only have different covers , and if you just purchase one deluxe version the only thing other then all members photo cards that you need to buy is the poster and group photo card that you get in the normal version
And people who bought all versions are likely to sell these as they literally have 7 of the same photo card and poster which no one needs that many

I preordered the vinyl version and the deluxe version off of Amazon. I didn't realize there was a standard version of the album. This makes me happy that I don't collect all versions for K-pop releases like I do for Visual Kei releases.

I recently just got all 4 of the deluxe versions and was disappointed that it was all completely the same from front to back but I was able to get 5 out of the 6 members. I will always support Monsta X. 💕
The songs on this album are perfect, the album is perfect, i just don’t say it’s divine because Wonho’s missing photos, but he will be back soon 👐💖

My photocards were all pointed. They don’t even seem like photocards. And I’m sad that the individual member albums aren’t photos of only that member (new photos not in the V1-V4). It was all just repetitive and seemed rushed. (Love MX, obviously not their fault, I still love the album and am thankful for what I got but still..)

Thanks for doing this. All About Luv is my favorite album and I love all the songs. Wonho should have been included here. Hate Starship and Epic for cutting him out. Sad to see only 5 members promoting this album in the U.S. This great album deserved better.
