Teaching My Friend How To Spearfish / Steamed Kumu & Nenue Poke Catch and Cook / Spearfishing Hawaii

- Whats up you Fekez. In this episode I teach my Friend Jesse how to spearfish. It was his first time diving but definitely not his last! We did some light diving, a quick sesh , nothing crazy.. We stayed on the inside , in the shallows to practice and had a fun time.
Jesse Ulua fishes. He keeps it traditional and only ShoreCasts. I tried convincing him many times to paddle out his line or drone fish bc thats what all the cool people do and they ALWAYS catch lol. But he always refuses and prefers to shore cast.
Jesse actually taught me how to ulua fish. Taught me how to tie hooks, swivels, lead, how to use the leg of the Tako (octopus) for bait... all that good stuff. He would even let me borrow his dads pole until I was able to buy my own.
We would constantly press but the thing about fishing is.. you always need bait and lead. I got tired of buying bait and lead and decided id jump in the water to Getit for free. After a while of scavenging for fishing material in the ocean... I became sidetracked by all the fish in the water. I decided since im already in the water I might as well try to catch some fish too... And thats where it all started for me. Id bring my small 75cm speargun with me every time id look for lead and eventually, I became more interested in hunting fish. Thats where the love of diving developed. And in this episode I finally get to teach Jesse something on catching fish. We both have our own preferred method of catching but our goal is the exact same.

Plus my dog has to be current on her shots for 25 weeks before I go, or they will quarantine her for rabies for up to that long and charge me for it, so Fek that lol. Soonest I could go is 6 months from now.... I'm already counting the days and thinking of ways to speed it up haha!

Brah nice vid, I just went idk's last week got one kumu in da shallows, found one secret honey hole 7ft deep hundreds of baby kalas and umaumaleis, get big boy kalas and pualus too. I think its one breeding grounds, had small kumu and reds around da area too. The akule pile going more out little bit, but had malolo right above them.

If you go IDKs and head right towards Hercules rock, there’s a pipe in the bridge.. I usually swim out from there right before the sandbar and usually get uhus and big ass Mus. jance 808 If you’re on Oahu I’d go to WestSide dive and tackle if not I’d go to your local dive shop. I couldn’t really find any apnea guns tho. Honestly it’s a cheap gun and I’d save up a little more for a better one if I was you.
